Aroor Laxminarayana Rao Memorial Ayurvedic Medical College & P.G. Centre (ALNRMAMC) was established in 1987 by the Aroor Educational Trust in Koppa, Chikmagalur District, Karnataka. The institution was founded with the objective of providing quality Ayurvedic education and healthcare services in the Malnad region.

The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, and recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

The campus is spread over approximately 25 acres of land with modern infrastructure, including academic blocks, a hospital, hostels, and a herbal garden. The herbal garden spans about 7.5 acres and contains hundreds of species of medicinal plants for study and research purposes.

Undergraduate Program (BAMS)

  • Course Name: Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

  • Duration: 5½ years (including one year of compulsory internship)

  • Intake: 60 seats

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

  • Minimum aggregate marks in PCB should be 50% for General category and 40% for Reserved categories.

  • The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year.

Admission Procedure:

  1. Admission to the BAMS course is based on NEET-UG scores conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

  2. Candidates who qualify NEET-UG must participate in the AYUSH counselling process (either state-level or central) for seat allotment.

  3. Allotted candidates must report to the college with original documents for verification and complete the admission formalities.

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have completed BAMS from a recognized institution with compulsory internship before the admission year.

  • Admission Basis: Through AIAPGET (All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test) scores and AYUSH PG counselling.

  2. MD in Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana

Admission Procedure:

  1. Apply for the AIAPGET entrance examination.
