About 

Dayananda Sagar College of Pharmacy was started in 1981 to cater to the needs of Pharmacy Education in India under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. In the year 2015, the institution was renamed “College of Pharmaceutical Sciences” and merged as a branch of the School of Health Sciences, affiliated with Dayananda Sagar University. The college is recognized by PCI, New Delhi; and the Government of Karnataka; It is also a recognized Scientific and Industrial Organization by DSIR, Govt of India. The COPS offers B. Pharm, M. Pharm, PharmD, Ph.D. programs in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmaceutical Analysis. The College has vibrant clusters of innovation ecosystems focused on drug discovery and development; in collaboration with industrial partners and research organizations. It also has an excellent pharmacy practice department dedicated to the betterment of the healthcare community in association with Sagar Hospitals and Dr. Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Institute of Medical Education and Research.

The admission process for the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) program at Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) in Bangalore, India is as follows:

  • Register and apply: Candidates can apply online or offline with the required information.
  • Entrance test: Eligible candidates must take the DSU Entrance Test.
  • Final selection: Candidates are selected based on their DSU Entrance Test score, 10+2 marks, and weightage for sports and other accomplishments. 

To be eligible for the B.Pharm. program, candidates must: 

  • Have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and English 
  • Have Mathematics or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology as optional subjects 
  • Have a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate
