Step 1: Check Eligibility

Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria:

  • Completed BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) from a recognized university.

  • One-year mandatory internship completed before the counseling date.

  • Registered with State/National Council of Indian Medicine (NCISM).

  • Must have qualified AIAPGET with the required percentile.


Step 2: Appear for AIAPGET Exam

  • The AIAPGET (All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) once a year.

  • It determines merit for admission to MD/MS (Ayurveda) programs across government, deemed, and private institutions.

Step 3: Result and Merit List

  • NTA releases the AIAPGET result and merit list based on scores.

  • Candidates who qualify are eligible for counseling rounds (All India Quota and State Quota).


Step 4: Counseling and Seat Allotment

  • All India AYUSH Counseling is conducted by AACCC (Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee).

  • Candidates can also participate in State AYUSH Counseling for state quota seats.

Counseling Process:

  1. Online Registration at the official counseling website (e.g., aaccc.gov.in).

  2. Choice Filling & Locking – Select “MD in Kriya Sharira” and preferred colleges.

  3. Seat Allotment – Based on merit, preferences, and category.

  4. Reporting to College – Visit the allotted institute for document verification and fee payment.

  5. Final Admission Confirmation – After verification, the college confirms admission to the university.

Step 6: Commencement of Course

  • Classes for the academic session begin after the final round of counseling.

  • Hold a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) degree from a recognized university.
