The Oxford College of Nursing and Oxford College of Nursing Sciences were established under the flagships of Oxford Group of Institutions, managed by Children’s Education Society (Regd.) in the year 1992 and 2003 respectively. The colleges are recognized by the Govt. of Karnataka, Karnataka State Nursing Council, and Indian Nursing Council and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and Karnataka State Diploma Nursing Examination Board, Bangalore.

The Oxford College of Nursing in Bangalore, India has different admission requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate courses: 

1.Undergraduate courses: 

  • Applicants must be at least 17 years old on December 31 of the year they are applying. 
  • Applicants must have passed the 12th standard or PUC or equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 45%. 
  • Applicants must have passed the exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and English as one of the languages. 
  • Applicants must be medically fit. 

2.Postgraduate courses: 

  • Applicants must have passed a B.Sc. in Nursing with a minimum aggregate of 55%. 
  • Applicants must be registered as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with the State Nursing Council. 

3.Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing: 

  • Applicants must have a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).
  • Applicants must be registered as a nurse.
  • Applicants must have passed the pre-university exam in arts/science/commerce conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State. 
  • Applicants must have a working knowledge of English. 
  • Applicants must be medically fit. 
  • Applicants must have a good personal and professional record.
