Latthe Education Society’s Acharya Deshabhushan Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, located in Bedkihal?Shamanewadi, Belagavi (Karnataka), was established in 2002 under the Latthe Education Society. The college sits on a campus of about 10 acres, with built-up areas of approximately 40,000 sq ft for the college and around 35,000 sq ft for the hospital. It has a herbal garden with over 200 medicinal plant species, along with well-equipped laboratories, library, and clinical facilities. Affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), the institution is recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). Its mission is to impart high-quality classical Ayurvedic education, provide excellent preventive and curative healthcare, and foster research and innovation in traditional medicine
Admission to the BAMS course is based on NEET-UG scores. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, meeting the minimum academic criteria. After qualifying NEET, students go through the centralized AYUSH counseling process, which includes state-level and all-India quota options. Seat allotment is based on NEET merit, category, and candidates’ preferences. Once allotted, candidates complete document verification and pay the required fees to secure their admission. For postgraduate MD courses offered by the college (such as Kayachikitsa, Shalakya Tantra, and Rachana Sharir), admission is done via NEET-PG, followed by counseling for MD seats.
