Al-Badar Educational & Charitable Trust’s Al-Badar Dental College & Hospital, was established in the year 1992 in the historical city of Gulbarga situated at the Northern Part of Karnataka. It is a unique, minority, recognized professional college which offers BDS & MDS courses in 7 specialities i.e. Oral Medicine & Radiology, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Endodontics and Oral Pathology.

Founded
Since 1992, the college has grown by leaps and bounds. In the beginning, college used to function in its old building near the central bus stand.
Large Campus
The building, now on a 5 acres 6 gunta plot at Naganhalli Road, Gulbarga, houses all dental & medical departments along with lecturer & examination halls spread over 125000 sq.ft

Admission Process
The candidate should have passed 10+2 before 1st October of the year of admission and must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Admission Criteria for B.D.S. He/She shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, of the year of admission to the BDS course. Qualification PUC/10+2/equalling as per Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore/Dental Council of India. The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% as above and must have passing marks in English. He / She shall have BDS degree from college or university recognized by dental council of India and RGUHS. Candidate not possessing a recognized Dental qualification for the above purpose must secure the prior approval of his/her qualification by DCI before admission to the MDS course. Students for MDS course shall be admitted strictly through NEET qualifying exam and should register themselves in KEA.
