Alva’s Ayurveda Medical College was established in 1996 under the Alva’s Education Foundation in Moodbidri, Karnataka. The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru and is approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
The campus is spread over a large eco-friendly area and includes a fully functional Ayurvedic hospital, herbal garden, clinical departments, research facilities, hostels and modern classrooms. The college offers UG (BAMS), PG (MD/MS Ayurveda) and PhD programmes in Ayurveda.
Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Minimum marks: 50% in PCB (45% for reserved categories).
Entrance exam: NEET-UG is mandatory.
Selection: Based on NEET rank through state or all-India AYUSH counselling.
Counselling body: Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) or AYUSH All India quota.

Eligibility: BAMS degree from a recognised university with internship completion.

Specialisations offered: More than 15 PG departments such as Panchakarma, Kayachikitsa, Shalya Tantra, Dravyaguna, Rasashastra, etc.
Eligibility: MD/MS in Ayurveda.
Selection: Entrance test + interview as per university norms.
