VIVA Institute of Technology (Approved by AICTE, New Delhi, DTE, Govt. of Maharashtra and Affiliated to the University of Mumbai) was established under the aegis of Late Shri Vishnu Waman Thakur Trust with the aim of imparting higher knowledge in Science and Technology to the aspiring boys and girls so that they can emerge as competent scientists, engineers and technologists of repute. VIVA Institute of Technology was started in the year 2009. We have fully equipped laboratories in all the departments. To support the knowledge needs of the students, we have fully computerized library with more than 21000 books, international journals and e-journals and several national journals.

VIVA Institute of Technology strives to impart total quality education by means of equipping students with knowledge and skills in their chosen stream, inculcating cultural and ethical values, identifying hidden talents, providing opportunities for students to realize their full potential and thus shape them into future leaders, entrepreneurs and above all good human beings.

To develop the standard of the institute above bench mark level by providing students with advanced knowledge and latest technology in the chosen discipline by tapping their hidden and obvious potential, moulding them into good and responsible citizens by playing a meaningful role in industry and society.

Admission Process

Admissions to the aspiring candidates seeking to undertake Diploma Education shall strictly follow the rules and norms of admission. The admission will be strictly on the basis of merit.

  1. 20 % seat of intake is shortlisted at the Institute Level and on the basis of merit.
  2. 80% seats of the institute of each course are filled in through the Centralized Admission Procedure (CAP) conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) through online submission procedure.

Note :  All the candidates have to fill the online application form available on http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in

Major Steps & guidelines in the Admission in Diploma Courses through CAP are summarized below:

  1. Online fill in and Submission of Online Application form on website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in for admission to Diploma through CAP.
  2. Candidate should fill & submit only one online application form which shall be applicable for admission to all Diploma Institutes participating in CAP.
  3. Candidates filling/confirming more than one application will be treated as duplicate forms and shall be rejected without any communication to the candidates and only latest application shall be considered valid for admission.
  4. Document Verification and Confirmation of online application form at the Application form Receipt Centers (ARCs) by eligible candidates.
  5. Display of Merit List of candidates who have confirmed the online Application Form at ARC for Centralized Admission process for admission to Diploma as per schedule.
  6. Fill in and confirm the Online Option Form(s) for CAP Round(s) I/II at ARC (by candidates eligible to participate in these respective CAP rounds.
  7. Display of Allotment(s) of respective CAP Round(s) I/II on website http://www.dte.org.in.
  8. Reporting to respective Institutes as per allotment of CAP Round(s) I/II.
  9. Conduction of CAP Round-III by counselling at the designated centers of admission and Reporting to respective Institute.
