The Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) has issued an important notice dated October 1, 2026, regarding the withdrawal/surrender, relieving and cancellation of seats for candidates admitted through AACCC-UG/PG counselling. The notice has been issued under reference number Ref. 1/1/2026-AACCC and provides instructions to both candidates and participating institutes.

As per the notice, if a candidate has joined a seat through AACCC-UG/PG counselling and is subsequently allotted a seat through State AYUSH Counselling, or receives an MBBS, BDS or B.Sc. seat, or wishes to withdraw from the joined seat for any other reason, the concerned institute is required to process the candidate's withdrawal or surrender online.

The participating institute must generate the online withdrawal/surrender letter through the ‘PI ADMIN ID’ on the AACCC-UG/PG portal. AACCC has also advised candidates and institutes to refer to the applicable Information Bulletin, Counselling Scheme 2025 and FAQs available on the official website for details regarding forfeiture of security money and ineligibility for subsequent counselling rounds following withdrawal from an already joined seat.

Relieving Procedure for Upgraded Candidates

AACCC has also issued specific instructions for candidates whose seats have been upgraded during subsequent counselling rounds. Candidates who have been upgraded from a previous round must obtain an online Relieving Letter from their previously allotted institute before joining the newly allotted institute.

The participating institutes have been instructed to generate the online Relieving Letter through the ‘PI ADMIN ID’ on the AACCC-UG/PG portal for candidates whose seats have been upgraded. Before generating the relieving letter, institutes can view the details of the upgraded candidates on the AACCC-UG/PG portal.

Candidates should therefore ensure that the required online relieving procedure is completed by the previous institute before proceeding to join their newly allotted seat.

Cancellation of AACCC-UG/PG Allotted Seats

AACCC has further clarified the procedure for cancellation of seats allotted through AACCC-UG/PG counselling. If a candidate is allotted a seat based on the information and documents provided during the counselling process but is subsequently unable to produce the required documents at the time of reporting at the allotted institute, the admission of the candidate will be cancelled.

In such cases, the participating institute has been instructed to generate an online Cancellation Letter through the ‘PI USER ID’ on the AACCC-UG/PG portal.

Offline Withdrawal or Relieving Not Accepted

AACCC has specifically stated that AACCC, NCISM and NCH will not approve admission, resignation or relieving, wherever permitted, if the process has been carried out through offline mode.

Participating institutes have also been instructed to send a copy of every online-generated withdrawal, surrender or cancellation letter to AACCC through email at counseling-ayush@gov.in without fail.

Candidates participating in AACCC AYUSH counselling should carefully follow the online procedures prescribed by the counselling authority. Candidates who have been upgraded, wish to surrender a joined seat or need to cancel their admission should ensure that the respective institute completes the required process through the official AACCC-UG/PG portal.
