AP NEET UG Counselling 2026: BDS Phase-I Web Options Open from September 12 to 15

The Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTRUHS), Vijayawada, has issued a notification for exercising web options for Phase-I of web-based counselling for admission to BDS courses under Competent Authority Quota seats for the academic year 2026-27.

The notification was issued on September 11, 2026, following the publication of the Final Merit List on August 29, 2026. All candidates whose names appear in the final merit list are eligible to exercise web options according to the prescribed schedule.

Candidates are advised to exercise their options well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

Who Can Exercise Web Options?

All candidates whose names are included in the displayed Final Merit List are eligible to participate in Phase-I web counselling.

Candidates can submit their preferred colleges in the order of priority. There is no limit on the number of web options that can be exercised.

The university has advised eligible candidates to preferably select all eligible dental colleges in their order of preference to increase their chances of seat allotment.

However, merely exercising web options does not guarantee admission to the BDS course.

Special Category Candidates

Candidates eligible under special categories such as:

  • PwBD
  • PMC
  • CAP
  • Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG)

must also exercise their prioritized web options after checking the applicable seat matrix for colleges offering seats under these categories.

The special category seats will also be filled during Phase-I counselling, except seats earmarked for NCC and Sports & Games, which will be filled after receipt of the final eligible candidate lists from the concerned departments.

Government and Private Dental Colleges Covered

Phase-I BDS counselling will cover eligible seats in Government and Private Dental Colleges affiliated with Dr. NTRUHS.

  • Drs. Sudha & Nageswara Rao Siddhartha Institute of Dental Sciences, Gannavaram
  • GITAM Dental College & Hospital, Visakhapatnam
  • GSL Dental College & Hospital, Rajamahendravaram
  • KIMS Dental College & Hospital, Amalapuram
  • Lenora Institute of Dental Sciences, Rajamahendravaram
  • Sibar Institute of Dental Sciences, Guntur
  • Sree Sai Dental College and Research Institute, Srikakulam
  • St. Joseph Dental College, Duggirala, Eluru
  • Vishnu Dental College, Bhimavaram
  • C.K.S. Theja Institute of Dental Sciences & Research, Tirupati

The notification also lists Nimra Institute of Dental Sciences, Ibrahimpatnam under the private minority category.

Number of Colleges Candidates Can Choose

According to the notification, candidates can exercise options for the eligible colleges according to their category.

Candidates are advised to carefully review the area-wise seat matrix and place their college preferences in the desired order.

Important Instructions for Web Options

Candidates should carefully follow the web-option process because the options submitted during the notified window will be considered for seat allotment.

The university has instructed candidates to:

  1. Log in to the official BDS counselling portal.
  2. Check the available colleges and seat matrix.
  3. Arrange colleges according to their preferred order.
  4. Submit the web options within the prescribed schedule.
  5. Verify the submitted options carefully before final submission.
  6. Save and take a printout of the submitted options.

The university has clarified that once the web options are submitted, they are final. Requests to change the options or the order of college priorities after closure of the web-option window will not be entertained.

OTP and Login Details

A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number and email address while entering and submitting web options.

Candidates are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials, registered email ID and OTPs. They should not share these details with any other person.

BDS Seat Allotment and Reporting

After completion of the web-option process, seats will be allotted according to the prescribed counselling procedure and applicable government rules.

Candidates who are allotted a BDS seat will receive an allotment message on their registered mobile number, subject to network and other technical conditions.

Candidates should visit the official university website after closure of web options to check their seat allotment status.

Those allotted a seat must report to the concerned college with their original certificates within the prescribed reporting period.

Candidates will also have to pay the prescribed University fee of INR 12,600 for downloading the allotment order.

The university has stated that the University fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Upgradation Rules

Candidates who join their allotted seat during Phase-I counselling will be eligible for upgradation/sliding to a better college up to Phase-III (Mop-Up) Round, subject to the applicable counselling rules.

Candidates who are allotted a seat but do not report or join the allotted college during Phase-I will not be eligible to opt for the same college in subsequent phases.

Verification of Original Certificates

All original certificates will be verified at the college where the candidate takes admission.

If a candidate is subsequently found to be ineligible or any discrepancy is detected in the submitted documents, the provisional allotment may be cancelled without further notice and action may be taken according to university regulations.

The tuition fee for BDS admission will be as fixed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2026-27.
