The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr NTRUHS), Vijayawada has issued Notification No. 5148/EA2/PG/2026 dated September 25, 2026, regarding the Free Exit facility for Phase-1 PG Dental (MDS) seats under Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2026-27.

The facility is available to candidates who were allotted PG Dental seats through State Counselling in Phase 1 and wish to participate in AIQ Round 2 counselling.

AP NEET MDS Counselling 2026: Free Exit Deadline

Candidates allotted PG Dental seats through Phase-1 State Counselling can avail themselves of the Free Exit facility within the prescribed period.

The resignation window is:

Start Date: September 25, 2026
Last Date: September 28, 2026
Last Time: 3:00 PM

Dr NTRUHS has clarified that no extension of the Free Exit deadline will be entertained.

Who Can Avail Free Exit?

The Free Exit facility is applicable to candidates who:

• Were allotted a PG Dental (MDS) seat through State Counselling Phase 1.
• Wish to resign from their allotted State Quota seat.
• Intend to participate in AIQ Round 2 counselling.
• Complete the prescribed resignation procedure within the notified deadline.

Candidates should carefully consider the consequences of resignation before submitting their request.

How to Complete the Free Exit Process

Candidates wishing to resign from their Phase-1 PG Dental seat must visit their allotted college and submit their resignation.

The candidate must also submit the prescribed undertaking form to the Principal of the concerned college.

Free Exit Process

1. Visit the allotted dental college.
2. Submit the resignation request for the Phase-1 PG Dental seat.
3. Submit the prescribed undertaking form.
4. Complete all formalities required by the college.
5. Ensure that the college records the resignation in its login system.
6. Complete the process before 3:00 PM on September 28, 2026.

The undertaking requires candidates to acknowledge that their resignation from the allotted seat is final and that they will not have a claim over the vacated seat.

College Principals Must Complete the Resignation Process

The notification places specific responsibilities on the Principals of the allotted colleges.

College Principals must:

• Promptly enter all resignations into the college login system.
• Freeze the relevant data by 4:00 PM on September 28, 2026.
• Download the reported/not-reported and resigned candidate data.
• Email the signed copy to appgadmissions2021@gmail.com.

Failure to complete the prescribed process will render the resignation “Null & Void.”

Original Certificates and Fees to Be Returned

The notification states that the College Principal must return the candidate's:

• Original Certificates
• Tuition Fee
• Other fees collected

to candidates who resign from their allotted seat under the Free Exit facility.

Candidates should ensure that they receive the required documents and applicable fee refunds after completing the resignation process.

Vacated Seats and Further Counselling

According to the notification, candidates who avail the Free Exit facility will no longer have any claim over the vacated seat.

The notification further states that vacancies resulting from Free Exit will be included in the Phase-III counselling process.

Resigned candidates can participate in Phase-III Counselling, subject to fulfilling the applicable eligibility requirements.

Important Restrictions for Candidates

Dr NTRUHS has issued important instructions regarding Free Exit and subsequent counselling.

No Extension of Deadline

Requests for extension of the Free Exit deadline will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Candidates must complete the resignation process by:

September 28, 2026, 3:00 PM

Dual Reporting Not Allowed

Candidates are strictly prohibited from reporting in both AIQ and State Quota.

The notification states that instances of dual reporting may attract severe penalties, including potential disqualification.

Candidates should therefore carefully follow the applicable counselling rules before joining a seat through another counselling process.

Undertaking Required for Resignation

Candidates resigning from their Phase-1 PG Dental seat must submit the prescribed undertaking to the Principal of the allotted college.

The undertaking requires the candidate to provide details including:

• Candidate's name
• Registration ID
• NEET MDS Roll Number
• Allotted college
• Allotted specialty
• Contact number
• Email address

The candidate must also confirm that they understand and agree to the conditions of the Free Exit facility.
