AP NEET MDS Counselling 2026: Phase 1 Web Options Open from September 2 to 4 for PG Dental Admissions

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTR UHS), Vijayawada, has released the notification for exercising web options for Phase-I counselling for admission to Postgraduate Dental Degree and PG Diploma courses for the academic session 2026-27.

The counselling is being conducted for Competent Authority Quota (CQ) seats available in Government Dental Colleges and Private Un-aided Non-Minority Dental Colleges affiliated with Dr. NTR UHS.

The notification is dated September 2, 2026, and has been issued in continuation of the University's earlier notification dated August 17, 2026.

Only candidates included in the CQ Provisional Final Merit List displayed on September 2, 2026 are eligible to exercise web options for Phase-I counselling.

Colleges and Seats Covered Under Phase-I Counselling

The Phase-I counselling covers the following categories of seats:

Government Dental Colleges

Seats available after contributing 50% of seats to the All India Quota in:

  • Government Dental College, Vijayawada
  • Government Dental College, Kadapa

Private Dental Colleges

The counselling also covers Category-A Convenor Quota seats, equivalent to 50% of intake, in private unaided Non-Minority Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh affiliated with Dr. NTR UHS.

Candidates can check the detailed seat matrix on the University website before exercising their choices.

No Limit on Number of Web Options

Dr. NTR UHS has clarified that there is no limit on the number of choices candidates can exercise for PG Dental Degree/Diploma courses.

Candidates can select any number of:

  • Specialties
  • Courses
  • Dental colleges

However, candidates have been advised to select only those courses and colleges in which they are genuinely interested in joining.

Candidates should carefully arrange their preferences because the allotment will be processed according to the applicable counselling rules, merit and choices submitted.

University Fee for AP NEET MDS Counselling 2026

Selected candidates must pay a University fee of INR 25,600 for downloading the allotment order.

The payment has to be made online using:

  • Debit Card
  • Credit Card
  • Internet Banking

The University has clarified that the University fee is payable only once initially for downloading the allotment order and is non-refundable.

Tuition Fee for Private Dental Colleges

The tuition fee applicable to Competent Authority Quota Category-A seats in private unaided dental colleges has been notified as follows:

Clinical Degree/Diploma INR 3,92,783
Para Clinical Degree/Diploma INR 3,53,504

The fee structure is based on G.O.Rt.No.786, HM & FW (C1) Department, dated August 29, 2026, and is subject to the outcome of the cases mentioned in the University notification.

How to Exercise Web Options

Eligible candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official Dr. NTR UHS website.
  2. Log in using the candidate credentials.
  3. Read the Prospectus and User Manual carefully.
  4. Check the available seat matrix and eligible courses.
  5. Select preferred PG Dental courses and colleges.
  6. Arrange the choices in the desired order.
  7. Save and submit the web options before 4:00 PM on September 4, 2026.
  8. Take a printout or keep a copy of the saved options for future reference.

The University has also provided a recorded video explaining the procedure for exercising web options. Candidates are advised to watch the video and read the User Manual before submitting their choices.

Eligibility for Phase-II Counselling

The notification also specifies categories of candidates who may be eligible to exercise web options in Phase-II counselling.

These include:

  • Candidates allotted a Phase-I seat who reported to the allotted college.
  • Candidates who were not allotted any seat in Phase-I.
  • Candidates allotted a Phase-I seat but who did not report, subject to the applicable rules.
  • Candidates who availed Free Exit from Phase-I.

However, a Phase-I seat that was not joined or was resigned from will not remain available for that candidate to exercise as an option in Phase-II.

Candidates who join Phase-I or Phase-II seats may remain eligible for upgradation up to the Phase-III/Mop-Up round, as per the notification.

Important Rules for Final Phase

As per the rules mentioned in the notification, in the final phase of final counselling, a candidate who exercises web options and joins an allotted seat will not be permitted to withdraw from the seat.

A candidate who withdraws from such an allotted seat may face debarment for three years from admission to PG Dental Degree/Diploma courses in Andhra Pradesh and may also be required to pay a penalty of INR 3,00,000, as specified in the notification.

Discontinuation from the course is permitted only after completion/closure of the counselling process according to the schedule notified by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
