Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTR UHS), Vijayawada, has released the notification for exercising web options for Phase-I counselling for admission to Postgraduate Dental Degree and PG Diploma courses for the academic session 2026-27.
The counselling is being conducted for Competent Authority Quota (CQ) seats available in Government Dental Colleges and Private Un-aided Non-Minority Dental Colleges affiliated with Dr. NTR UHS.
The notification is dated September 2, 2026, and has been issued in continuation of the University's earlier notification dated August 17, 2026.

Only candidates included in the CQ Provisional Final Merit List displayed on September 2, 2026 are eligible to exercise web options for Phase-I counselling.
The Phase-I counselling covers the following categories of seats:

The counselling also covers Category-A Convenor Quota seats, equivalent to 50% of intake, in private unaided Non-Minority Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh affiliated with Dr. NTR UHS.

Dr. NTR UHS has clarified that there is no limit on the number of choices candidates can exercise for PG Dental Degree/Diploma courses.

Candidates should carefully arrange their preferences because the allotment will be processed according to the applicable counselling rules, merit and choices submitted.
Selected candidates must pay a University fee of INR 25,600 for downloading the allotment order.

The University has clarified that the University fee is payable only once initially for downloading the allotment order and is non-refundable.
The tuition fee applicable to Competent Authority Quota Category-A seats in private unaided dental colleges has been notified as follows:

The fee structure is based on G.O.Rt.No.786, HM & FW (C1) Department, dated August 29, 2026, and is subject to the outcome of the cases mentioned in the University notification.

The University has also provided a recorded video explaining the procedure for exercising web options. Candidates are advised to watch the video and read the User Manual before submitting their choices.
The notification also specifies categories of candidates who may be eligible to exercise web options in Phase-II counselling.

However, a Phase-I seat that was not joined or was resigned from will not remain available for that candidate to exercise as an option in Phase-II.
Candidates who join Phase-I or Phase-II seats may remain eligible for upgradation up to the Phase-III/Mop-Up round, as per the notification.
As per the rules mentioned in the notification, in the final phase of final counselling, a candidate who exercises web options and joins an allotted seat will not be permitted to withdraw from the seat.
A candidate who withdraws from such an allotted seat may face debarment for three years from admission to PG Dental Degree/Diploma courses in Andhra Pradesh and may also be required to pay a penalty of INR 3,00,000, as specified in the notification.
Discontinuation from the course is permitted only after completion/closure of the counselling process according to the schedule notified by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
