Who Can Participate in Phase-II Web Options?

According to the notification, the following candidates are eligible to exercise Phase-II web options:

  • Candidates who were allotted and reported to a Phase-I seat.
  • Candidates who were not allotted any seat in Phase-I counselling.
  • Candidates who were allotted a Phase-I seat but did not report or join the allotted college.

However, a Phase-I seat that a candidate did not join will not remain available for that candidate to select again in Phase-II. A joined Phase-I seat will remain the candidate's default last option.

Candidates who are upgraded during Phase-II will have no claim over their Phase-I seat and must report to the newly allotted college and join the Phase-II seat.

No Limit on Number of Web Options

Dr. NTRUHS has clarified that there is no limit on the number of choices candidates can exercise for PG Dental Degree/Diploma courses.

Candidates can select any number of eligible specialties and colleges according to their preference. They have also been advised to consider all available seats and colleges irrespective of the current vacancy position because virtual vacancies created through Phase-II upgrades may also be allotted during the counselling process.

Candidates should select only those courses and colleges in which they are genuinely interested in taking admission.

University Fee for Phase-II Allotment

Selected candidates must pay the University fee of INR 25,600 through the online payment facility for downloading the allotment order.

Payment can be made through:

  • Debit Card
  • Credit Card
  • Internet Banking

Candidates who have already paid the University fee during Phase-I do not need to pay it again. The notification also states that the University fee once paid is non-refundable.

PG Dental Tuition Fee 2026-27

The notification provides the tuition fee structure applicable to Competent Authority Quota Category-A seats in Private Unaided Dental Colleges for the academic year 2026-27.

PG Dental Course Tuition Fee
Clinical Degree/Diploma INR 3,92,783
Para Clinical Degree/Diploma INR 3,53,504

The fee structure is stated to be as per G.O.Rt.No.786, HM & FW (C1) Department, dated August 29, 2026, and is subject to the outcome of the court cases mentioned in the notification.

Original Documents and Admission

Candidates allotted seats must complete the admission process within the date specified in their allotment letter.

At the time of admission, candidates are required to:

  • Produce all original certificates.
  • Pay the applicable tuition fee.
  • Furnish necessary bonds.
  • Complete the prescribed admission formalities.

If a candidate fails to satisfy the eligibility or admission requirements within the prescribed period, the admission will be cancelled automatically. Original certificates will be verified at the allotted college, and any discrepancy may result in cancellation of the provisional allotment.

Candidates Should Print Their Saved Options

Dr. NTRUHS has advised candidates to exercise web options carefully and retain a printout of their saved choices for future reference.

Candidates should arrange their college and course preferences according to their actual priority. If they are not interested in a particular specialty or college, they should not include it in their choices.

MRC Concept in PG Dental Counselling

The notification also explains the Meritorious Reserved Candidate (MRC) concept applicable to the counselling process.

Under this system, a reserved-category candidate who obtains an Open Category seat on merit may be treated as an MRC. If the candidate subsequently slides to a reserved-category seat, the vacated Open Category seat is filled among eligible candidates of the concerned reserved category according to merit.

The notification states that the MRC concept is followed for BC/SC/ST categories to maintain the prescribed 50:50 ratio of Open and Category Reservation.

Phase-III and Mop-Up Counselling Rules

Dr. NTRUHS has also outlined eligibility conditions for Phase-III/Mop-Up counselling.

Candidates who wish to participate in Phase-III and subsequent counselling phases will be required to pay a refundable security deposit of INR 50,000 through online mode, with further details to be notified separately.

Candidates allotted a Phase-III seat are required to report and join the allotted seat. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the INR 50,000 security deposit and the candidate will not be permitted to participate in further rounds.

Important Rules for Candidates

Candidates should note the following:

  • Phase-II upgraded candidates cannot claim their previous Phase-I seat.
  • Candidates upgraded in Phase-II must join the newly allotted seat.
  • Candidates who have reported in Phase-I or Phase-II can opt for free exit according to the schedule notified by the University.
  • University fee of INR 25,600 is payable only once initially for downloading the allotment order.
  • Candidates must verify original documents at the allotted college.
