Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTRUHS), Vijayawada, has issued a notice dated September 26, 2026, regarding the eligibility of candidates for Andhra Pradesh NEET PG 2026 counselling. The university has declared a total of 172 candidates ineligible to participate in the state counselling process under both Competent Authority Quota (CQ) and Management Quota (MQ).
The decision has been taken based on the conditions applicable to the AP State Counselling for NEET PG 2025 and the provisions of G.O.Ms.No.67 dated April 21, 2017.
According to the notice, 21 candidates were allotted seats during the NEET PG 2025 Stray Vacancy Rounds but failed to report to their allotted colleges.
As per the counselling conditions, these candidates will not be eligible to participate in Andhra Pradesh NEET PG 2026–27 counselling under either CQ or MQ.
The university has stated that applications submitted by candidates included in the ineligible list will be summarily rejected before the display of the Final Merit List.
The university has also declared 151 candidates ineligible for AP NEET PG 2026–27 counselling after they discontinued their postgraduate medical courses.
The candidates covered under this list discontinued their courses between July 22, 2023, and the date of the notice. As per the conditions specified under G.O.Ms.No.67, candidates who discontinue their PG course after joining are not permitted to participate in the AP State Counselling process for three years from the date of issue of the discontinuance letter by the university.
The restriction applies to both Competent Authority Quota and Management Quota counselling.

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences has clarified that if any candidate listed in the annexures applies for NEET PG 2026 counselling in Andhra Pradesh, the application will be rejected before the publication of the Final Merit List.
The detailed list of ineligible candidates has been attached to the university notice. The list includes candidates from different postgraduate medical specialities and medical colleges across Andhra Pradesh.
