The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTR UHS), Vijayawada has notified the Phase 2 web counselling process for MBBS seats under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2026-27.
The Phase 2 counselling covers available MBBS seats arising from unfilled seats, non-joined seats and vacancies created after candidates availed the Free Exit facility following Phase 1. The counselling covers eligible Government, Private Unaided Non-Minority and Minority Medical Colleges under Dr. NTR UHS, along with MBBS seats at Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women, Tirupati, under SVIMS. The official university website has published the Phase 2 web-options notification.
| Counselling Activity | Date / Time |
|---|---|
| Web Options Begin | September 16, 2026, 10:00 AM |
| Web Options Close | September 18, 2026, 10:00 AM |
| Phase 2 Seat Allotment | September 21, 2026 |
Candidates must exercise their web options within the specified window. The university has advised candidates to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
The Phase 2 web-options facility is available to eligible candidates whose names appear in the final merit list dated August 29, 2026, along with candidates included through subsequent addenda mentioned by the University.
The following candidates can participate:
Candidates who availed the Free Exit facility after Phase 1 are not eligible to exercise web options in Phase 2 or subsequent counselling phases.
Candidates who joined their Phase 1 allotted college and want to upgrade must exercise fresh web options during the Phase 2 window.
Such candidates should select only those colleges they genuinely prefer over their currently admitted college.
The currently reported college will remain as the last option by default, as specified in the notification.
Candidates who joined in Phase 1 but do not exercise fresh web options will not be considered for further sliding/upgradation in Phase 2. However, default sliding may apply in certain circumstances involving a change in seat category within the same college.
Candidates who are eligible to participate in Phase 2 can exercise any number of web options.
The University has advised candidates to enter colleges in the order of their actual preference and eligibility, irrespective of the vacancies displayed on the website.
This allows candidates to be considered according to merit and their preferred order when seats become available during the allotment process.
Candidates who receive an upgraded seat in Phase 2 will not have any claim over their Phase 1 joined seat.
The Phase 1 seat will be automatically cancelled after upgradation, and the seat will be added to the available seat matrix as a virtual vacancy for further allocation.
Therefore, candidates should exercise Phase 2 options only for colleges they genuinely intend to join.
The University has clarified that Competent Authority Quota seats in Minority Medical Colleges will be allotted only to Muslim Minority candidates.
However, Muslim Minority candidates are also eligible to compete for Competent Authority Quota seats in other eligible medical colleges.
The University Fee is INR 12,600.

Payment of the University Fee is required for downloading the provisional allotment order.

The University has clarified that the fee once paid will not be refunded.
Candidates allotted MBBS seats at Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women, Tirupati, are required to visit the SVIMS website for details regarding tuition fee and other college-level charges.
The college is under SVIMS and is not under the control of Dr. NTR UHS for the stated fee-related matters.
Seats reserved under special categories such as NCC and Sports & Games will be filled after the University receives the final prioritised merit lists from the respective competent authorities, including NCC and SAAP.
The relevant information will be displayed on the University website.
