The Regional Dental College (RDC), Guwahati, Assam, has issued an admission notice regarding the re-scheduling of Round 1 counselling for MDS courses for the academic session 2026.

As per the notice dated August 27, 2026, the first round of counselling for MDS seats under the Assam State Quota has been rescheduled in accordance with the revised schedule published by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The counselling was earlier scheduled to be held on August 29, 2026. It will now be conducted on September 7, 2026, at 11:30 AM.

Who Can Appear for Assam MDS Round 1 Counselling?

According to the admission notice, candidates whose names have appeared in the State of Assam NEET-MDS-2026 merit list and who have secured a merit position up to 25 are requested to physically appear for the counselling.

Candidates must also fulfil all the prescribed eligibility criteria for admission to MDS courses against Assam State Quota seats.

Eligible candidates are required to attend the counselling at the revised date, time and venue with their necessary documents.

The rescheduled Round 1 counselling will be held at:

Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22
Date: September 7, 2026
Time: 11:30 AM

Candidates should reach the counselling venue on time and carry all documents required for verification and admission.

Why Has the Counselling Date Been Changed?

The Regional Dental College has stated that the counselling has been rescheduled as per the revised schedule published by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The earlier counselling date of August 29, 2026 has therefore been replaced with the new date of September 7, 2026.

Candidates should follow the revised schedule and not report on the earlier date.

Candidates appearing for the physical counselling should carry their necessary original documents and certificates required for MDS admission and verification.

Candidates are advised to ensure that their documents satisfy the eligibility and admission requirements applicable to Assam State Quota MDS counselling.

Eligible candidates should carefully note that the Round 1 MDS counselling date has been changed from August 29 to September 7, 2026.

Candidates who meet the eligibility conditions and have a State of Assam NEET MDS 2026 merit position up to 25 should physically appear at the designated counselling venue at 11:30 AM on September 7, 2026.
