The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has issued an educational notice regarding the offline counselling for nomination of candidates for admission to various degree courses at the Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences (RIPANS), Aizawl, for the academic session 2026.
The counselling is being conducted against the seats allotted to the Government of Assam. As per the notice, eligible candidates will have to appear for the counselling in person at the specified venue along with their original documents.
The offline counselling is scheduled to be held on September 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM onwards at the Office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22.
The admission process covers several undergraduate programmes, including B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS), Bachelor of Optometry, Bachelor of Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology (B.MRIT), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), and Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics with Honours (BND).

Candidates must have appeared in the specified entrance examination and secured the prescribed minimum marks to be eligible to participate in the counselling.

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination in the Science stream with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and must have passed English individually. Candidates must also be medically fit.
The minimum age for admission is 17 years as on December 31 of the year in which admission is sought, while the maximum age limit is 35 years. The notice also specifies that the entrance test must be conducted by the University or State Government.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 in the Science stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in PCB/PCM and English, or hold a Diploma in Pharmacy with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany + Zoology).
