Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026: UGMAC(Ayush) Registration and Choice Filling Begins September 21

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released the notification for Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling [UGMAC(Ayush)]-2026 for admission to first-year BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses in Government and Private AYUSH Colleges of Bihar for the academic session 2026-27.

Admission will be based on the UGMAC(Ayush)-2026 merit/rank list, which will be prepared on the basis of the NEET UG 2026 merit list provided by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The notification, Advertisement No. BCECEB[UGMAC(Ayush)]-2026/01, is dated September 18, 2026.

BCECEB has stated that there will be four rounds of counselling, and all rounds will be conducted online. The detailed schedule and rules for subsequent rounds will be notified separately.

The same online registration/application will be used for Round 1 and Round 2 counselling. BCECEB has clarified that no fresh registration opportunity will be provided between the two rounds.

Courses Covered Under Bihar AYUSH Counselling

The UGMAC(Ayush)-2026 counselling will be conducted for admission to:

  • BAMS – Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery
  • BHMS – Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery
  • BUMS – Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery

The counselling covers permitted Government AYUSH colleges and permitted Private Ayurveda, Homoeopathic and Unani colleges in Bihar, as listed in the UGMAC(Ayush)-2026 Prospectus.

Candidates are advised to check the seat matrix before registration and choice filling. BCECEB has uploaded the seat matrix on its official website.

Who Can Apply for Bihar UGMAC(Ayush) 2026?

The counselling is open to qualified, eligible and interested NEET UG 2026 candidates seeking admission to BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses in Bihar.

The UGMAC(Ayush)-2026 merit list/rank list will be prepared on the basis of the NEET UG 2026 merit list. Candidates must also satisfy the eligibility conditions mentioned in the official UGMAC(Ayush)-2026 Prospectus.

Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2026: Application Process

BCECEB has prescribed a multi-step online application process.

Step 1: Registration

Candidates must authenticate their identity using:

  • NEET UG 2026 Roll Number
  • Candidate Name
  • Date of Birth

After authentication, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID used during the NEET UG application process.

Candidates will then create a password and receive a UGMAC ID, which will be required for future correspondence and counselling activities.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form

Candidates have to enter:

  • Personal information
  • Permanent and correspondence address
  • Educational information
  • Photograph
  • Signature
  • Required documents, wherever applicable

Candidates should carefully verify all information before proceeding to final submission.

Step 3: Final Submission

After completing the application, candidates must review the information and correct any errors before clicking “Final Submit & Proceed to Payment.”

Candidates who fail to complete final submission and payment within the prescribed deadline will have their application treated as incomplete/rejected.

Bihar AYUSH Counselling Fee and Security Deposit

Candidates have to pay the prescribed non-refundable counselling/registration fee along with the applicable refundable security deposit through online mode.

Payment can be made through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI. Additional payment processing charges may apply. The counselling fee is non-refundable.

Choice Filling and Locking

After successful payment, candidates must fill their preferred courses and institutions/colleges in order of priority.

Candidates must:

  1. Select their preferred choices.
  2. Click “Save Choices.”
  3. Click “Choice Locking” before the prescribed deadline.
  4. Download or print the final choice slip.

Choice locking and unlocking will require OTP authentication through the registered mobile number/email ID.

Candidates are advised to fill choices carefully and not wait until the last date.

Round 1 Free Exit, Freeze and Float Options

Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 will have to submit their willingness as either FREEZE or FLOAT.

FREEZE

A candidate selecting FREEZE indicates that they are willing to accept the allotted seat without seeking upgradation.

Such candidates must physically report to the allotted institute with original documents and complete document verification and admission within the prescribed schedule.

FLOAT

A candidate selecting FLOAT indicates that they want to participate in the next round for possible upgradation.

Float candidates must also report to the allotted institute for document verification within the prescribed period. Failure to complete the required verification can lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.

Round 2 Choice Filling Rules

Candidates who participated in Round 1 but were not allotted any seat can wait for the Round 2 allotment and will also be permitted to edit their previous choices.

Candidates who resign from a Round 1 seat or use the Free Exit facility will be eligible for Round 2, but their previous choices will become Null & Void. Such candidates must fill fresh choices for Round 2.

BCECEB has clarified that no fresh registration-cum-submission of application will be allowed for Round 2.

Security Deposit Refund

The security deposit will be refunded after completion of all applicable counselling rounds to candidates who:

  • Do not receive a seat, or
  • Are admitted to their allotted seat through the counselling process,

subject to the rules specified in the notification.

The refund will generally be credited to the bank account from which the security deposit was originally paid, subject to the conditions mentioned by BCECEB.

Documents Required

Candidates must upload and later produce the prescribed original documents during document verification and admission.

Important documents include:

  • NEET UG 2026 Admit Card
  • NEET UG 2026 Score Card
  • Matriculation/Equivalent certificate or marksheet
  • Intermediate/10+2 certificate or marksheet
  • Residential Certificate
  • Caste Certificate, wherever applicable
  • Required documents for admission to Private AYUSH Colleges
  • Six passport-size photographs matching the NEET UG admit card photograph
  • UGMAC(Ayush)-2026 Confirmation Page
  • Aadhaar Card
  • DQ/PwBD or EWS certificate, wherever applicable
  • Any other documents prescribed by the counselling authority

Candidates whose certificates are in languages other than English or Hindi must submit an English version during counselling.

Important Note on Private AYUSH College Fees

BCECEB has advised candidates to carefully check the fee structure of Private AYUSH Colleges before submitting their application and choices.

The college-wise fee structure is available on the BCECEB website and concerned college websites. Candidates are advised to confirm tuition fees and any additional charges directly before selecting private colleges.The Board has stated that it will not take responsibility for the fee structure of private colleges.
