The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has issued a corrigendum for Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC)-2026 for admission to MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. courses. The corrigendum, issued under Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/12 dated October 3, 2026, applies to the Round 3 online application and choice filling process.

The corrigendum has been issued in continuation of Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/09 dated September 30, 2026. According to BCECEB, a typographical error occurred in the headings of columns 2 and 3 under Point No. 9(iv)(b). The board has now corrected the relevant provision concerning the payment of counselling fee and security deposit.

As per the corrected instructions, after clicking the “Final Submit & Proceed to Payment” button, candidates must complete the payment process according to the instructions displayed on the computer screen. The counselling fee is non-refundable.

Candidates must make the counselling fee and security deposit payment through online mode only, using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI. Applicable processing charges will have to be paid in addition to the counselling fee and security deposit.

Bihar UGMAC 2026 Round 3 Counselling Fee

For Government Medical, Dental, Veterinary and Fisheries Colleges, candidates belonging to the Unreserved, EWS, BC and EBC categories have to pay a non-refundable registration/counselling fee of INR 1,200, while SC, ST and DQ candidates have to pay INR 600.

For private colleges, the registration and counselling fee is INR 1,200 for all candidates, irrespective of category.

Bihar UGMAC 2026 Security Deposit

The security deposit varies according to the type of institution selected by the candidate. For Government Medical, Dental, Veterinary and Fisheries Colleges, the security deposit is INR 10,000 for UR/EWS candidates and INR 5,000 for SC/ST/BC/EBC candidates.

For Private Medical Colleges, the security deposit is INR 2,00,000 for all categories, while the security deposit for Private Dental Colleges is INR 50,000 for all categories.

BCECEB has further clarified that candidates who initially pay the security deposit applicable to Government Veterinary/Fisheries Colleges and subsequently want to take admission under Self-Financed Seats of B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.F.Sc. courses will have to pay an additional security deposit of INR 50,000.

The refundable security deposit, wherever applicable, must also be paid online through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI during the online registration and submission of the application-cum-choice filling form. Candidates will also have to bear the applicable online payment processing charges.

BCECEB has issued an important warning regarding failed payment transactions. If the counselling fee and security deposit amount is debited from a candidate's bank account but the transaction fails, the candidate must re-pay the required full amount and ensure successful payment. If the required counselling fee and security deposit do not reflect in the Board's account within the prescribed deadline, the application will remain incomplete and may be rejected. Such candidates will not be eligible to participate in the counselling process.

The board has stated that failed transactions will be refunded to the candidate's account in due course. The corrigendum applies to the Round 3 online application and choice filling process for Bihar UGMAC 2026. All other terms and conditions mentioned in Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/09 dated September 30, 2026 and Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/11 dated October 2, 2026 will remain unchanged.

Candidates participating in Bihar NEET UG 2026 counselling are advised to carefully check the corrected fee and security deposit requirements before completing their Round 3 registration, payment and choice filling.
