The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) issued a corrigendum for the Undergraduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC) 2026 on October 14, 2026. The notice applies to NEET UG 2026-qualified candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), and Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) courses in participating government and private institutions in Bihar.
According to the corrigendum, a technical issue has affected the Freeze and Float options mentioned in Point 27 of the earlier Round 3 counselling advertisement dated September 30, 2026. Consequently, all candidates allotted seats through Round 3 will be treated as Freeze candidates.
Candidates allotted seats in Round 3 must physically report to the institute mentioned in their provisional seat allotment order within the prescribed schedule. They must carry all original documents uploaded to the counselling portal while downloading the provisional allotment order.
Physical reporting is mandatory for document verification and completion of the admission process. Candidates should follow the official counselling schedule and carefully check their allotment orders.
Candidates allotted a fresh, retained or upgraded MBBS or BDS seat in Round 3 must complete document verification and take admission within the prescribed deadline.
The Board has clarified that the allotted seat will be cancelled and the paid security deposit will be forfeited if a candidate:
Fails to report physically for document verification within the prescribed period.
Completes document verification but does not take admission to the allotted seat.
Is found ineligible during verification because of unresolved discrepancies or non-compliance with the required data and documents.
Candidates affected by these conditions may seek participation in the Stray Vacancy Round by logging in to the UGMAC 2026 online portal using their NEET UG 2026 roll number and password. They must provide consent and make a fresh payment of the counselling fee and security deposit. Under the corrigendum, such candidates will be eligible only for B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. seats.
Candidates allotted a B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.F.Sc. seat in Round 3 must successfully complete document verification and take admission at the allotted institute by submitting all original documents.
Candidates who complete admission and wish to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round must log in to the UGMAC 2026 portal and provide their consent. As specified in the corrigendum, these candidates will be eligible to participate for MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. seats.
Candidates allotted B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.F.Sc. seats who fail to report for document verification, do not take admission after verification, or are found ineligible because of unresolved discrepancies will have their allotted seats cancelled and security deposits forfeited. They may participate in the Stray Vacancy Round after providing consent and making a fresh payment of the counselling fee and security deposit. The notice states that these candidates will be eligible for all four course categories: MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc.
Corrigendum date: October 14, 2026.
Counselling round: Round 3.
Freeze status: All Round 3 seat allottees will be treated as Freeze candidates due to a technical issue.
Physical reporting: Mandatory at the allotted institute within the prescribed schedule.
Original documents: Required for verification and admission.
Security deposit: May be forfeited if the candidate fails to complete the required reporting, verification or admission process.
Stray Vacancy Round: Eligibility depends on the candidate's allotment category and whether the admission and verification requirements have been fulfilled.
