CENTAC UG NEET Round 1 2026: JIPMER-Allotted Candidates to Be Removed from Allotment List

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Puducherry has issued an important notice regarding the UG NEET Round 1 allotment for the academic year 2026-27.

As per the notice dated August 24, 2026, CENTAC has published the list of candidates who applied for UG NEET-based degree courses, including M.B.B.S., B.D.S. and B.A.M.S., under the Government Quota and have also been allotted seats at JIPMER, Puducherry under the Internal–Puducherry UT Domicile quota.

JIPMER-Allotted Candidates to Be Removed

CENTAC has clarified that candidates who have been allotted seats at JIPMER, Puducherry will be removed from the CENTAC UG-NEET Round 1 allotment list.

The list of such candidates has been published on the official CENTAC website.

Candidates are advised to check the published list carefully and verify whether their name appears in it.

Objection Submission Deadline

Candidates who have any objections regarding the published list can submit their objections through the Grievances option available in their CENTAC Dashboard.

Objections must be submitted using the candidate's login credentials by:

August 26, 2026, up to 5:00 PM

CENTAC has specified that objections should be submitted only through the prescribed dashboard grievance facility.

JIPMER Candidates Can Continue in CENTAC Counselling

Candidates who have been allotted a seat at JIPMER but still wish to participate in the CENTAC UG-NEET counselling have been given an option to submit their willingness.

Such candidates must:

  1. Log in to their CENTAC dashboard.
  2. Submit their willingness to participate in CENTAC counselling.
  3. Pay a caution deposit of Rs. 1,00,000.
  4. Complete the process by August 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

Caution Deposit Rules

CENTAC has also specified the conditions applicable to the Rs. 1 lakh caution deposit.

If a seat is allotted to the candidate in Round 1 and the candidate does not join the allotted seat, the caution deposit will be forfeited.

However, if the candidate joins the allotted seat, the caution deposit will be adjusted against the tuition fee.

Candidates are advised to carefully read the UG NEET-2026 Information Brochure for further instructions and applicable conditions.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates affected by the notice should check their CENTAC dashboard and the published list of JIPMER-allotted candidates.

Those who want to continue participating in CENTAC counselling despite being allotted a JIPMER seat must complete the willingness submission and caution deposit payment within the prescribed deadline.

Candidates should also note that the Rs. 1 lakh caution deposit will be forfeited if a Round 1 seat is allotted and the candidate fails to join. If the candidate joins the allotted seat, the amount will be adjusted against the tuition fee.
