The Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Chhattisgarh has issued an important notice regarding the online counselling and registration process for MBBS graduates who completed their MBBS course from Government Medical Colleges of Chhattisgarh in 2026 and are required to provide two years of government service as per their bond agreement.

According to the notice dated September 7, 2026, the online registration and merit generation process will be conducted through the National Informatics Centre (NIC).

All eligible bonded MBBS graduates who passed their course from Government Medical Colleges of Chhattisgarh in 2026 are required to participate in this counselling process. Posting for bond service will be carried out online on the basis of merit against vacant posts in government health institutions across the state.

Who Must Participate?

The counselling is applicable to all bonded students who passed the MBBS course in 2026 from Government Medical Colleges in Chhattisgarh.

According to the notice, participation in the online counselling process is mandatory for eligible candidates because the bond posting process will be conducted only through the online counselling system.

Candidates who fail to participate in the counselling process may be deprived of the posting process and will remain responsible for all liabilities associated with their bond, including payment of the prescribed bond amount, as applicable.

Merit List Preparation

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained by candidates in the MBBS course.

In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks, preference will be given according to the following criteria:

1. Marks obtained in the final year of MBBS
2. Higher age

The first merit list will be published on September 13, 2026.

Claims and Objections

Candidates will be provided an opportunity to submit claims and objections against the merit list.

The objection window will remain open from 11:00 AM on September 14, 2026, to 5:00 PM on September 15, 2026.

Claims and objections can be submitted at the Chhattisgarh State Counselling, Room No. 503, Pt. J.N.M. Medical College, Raipur, within the prescribed period.

Candidates should ensure that their objections are submitted before the deadline.

Final Merit List

After considering the claims and objections received from candidates, the final merit list will be published on September 17, 2026.

Information regarding subsequent choice filling and posting/allocation will be provided separately on the departmental website.
