The Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Chhattisgarh has issued the Round 2 allotment information for NEET UG 2026 counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in the state.

The notice dated September 14, 2026 states that the Round 2 allotment list has been released for the Chhattisgarh State NEET UG counselling process. Candidates who have been allotted seats must complete the prescribed physical/offline scrutiny and admission process within the notified schedule.

The official Commissionerate of Medical Education website also lists the CG State NEET-UG (MBBS/BDS) 2026 Provisional Allotment List – Round 2 dated September 14, 2026.

Chhattisgarh NEET UG Round 2: Important Dates

The notice specifically states that all holidays will be treated as working days for the purpose of completing the counselling and admission process.

Where Will Scrutiny and Admission Take Place?

Candidates allotted seats in government medical and government dental colleges will complete their scrutiny and admission formalities at the respective allotted institution.

For candidates allotted seats in private medical colleges, designated scrutiny centres have been identified by the counselling authority.

Private Medical College Scrutiny Centres

Candidates should follow the scrutiny location specified for their allotted institution and complete the process within the prescribed timeline.

Private Dental College Scrutiny Centres

Candidates allotted BDS seats in private dental colleges must complete scrutiny and admission-related formalities at the designated centres.

The notice identifies the following institutions:

• Maitri College of Dentistry & Research Centre, Durg
• Rungta College of Dental Sciences & Research, Bhilai
• Triveni Institute of Dental Sciences, Hospital & Research Centre, Bilaspur
• Chhattisgarh Dental College & Research Institute, Rajnandgaon
• New Horizon Dental College & Research Institute, Bilaspur
• Shri Balaji Institute of Dental Sciences, Raipur
• Government Dental College, Raipur

The respective institutions have been directed to make arrangements for authorized officials and staff at the scrutiny centres.

Physical Scrutiny Is Mandatory After Allotment

According to the notice, candidates allotted seats must personally appear at the allotted institution or designated scrutiny centre for document verification/scrutiny within the prescribed period.

The Chhattisgarh MBBS/BDS admission rules require candidates to complete document scrutiny after allotment. Candidates who fail to appear for scrutiny within the specified period may be removed from the counselling and admission process for the current academic session.

Candidates should therefore not wait until the final date to complete verification.

Government Medical College Admission

For candidates allotted seats in government medical colleges, taking admission at the allotted government medical college is mandatory as prescribed under the counselling rules.

For candidates allotted seats in private medical colleges or dental colleges, admission at the allotted institution is subject to completion of the required scrutiny and eligibility formalities.

However, document scrutiny and eligibility verification remain mandatory for all allotted candidates.

Seat Retained Candidates Need Not Repeat Admission

The notice provides certain relaxations for candidates whose seats have been retained.

Candidates whose seat has been retained do not need to participate again in the admission process during this round.

Similarly, candidates who received an upgradation and have already obtained the prescribed medical certificate in the proper format may not be required to undergo another medical examination at the newly allotted institution.

However, upgraded candidates must obtain a Relieving Letter from their previous allotted institution before completing the admission process at the newly allotted college.

Important Rule on Non-Joining and Seat Forfeiture

Candidates should carefully note the consequences of not joining an allotted seat.

In the second round and subsequent counselling rounds, if a candidate does not take admission after allotment, or takes admission and subsequently leaves the allotted seat, the registration amount deposited by the candidate will be forfeited, as per the applicable rules.

The counselling authority has also warned candidates that failure to complete the required process may lead to their disqualification from the counselling process.

Candidates Advised to Check Admission Rules

Candidates have been advised to read the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental and Physiotherapy Undergraduate Admission Rules, 2025, before starting the scrutiny and admission process.

This will help candidates understand the applicable admission conditions and avoid difficulties during document verification and joining.

The counselling authority has also cautioned candidates against approaching individuals or institutions promising admission outside the official online counselling process. Seat allotment is conducted through the online counselling process constituted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh.

What Candidates Should Do Now

Candidates who have received an allotment in Chhattisgarh NEET UG Counselling Round 2 should:

1. Download and carefully check their allotment details.
2. Check the designated scrutiny centre or allotted institution.
3. Reach the centre from September 16, 2026 onward.
4. Carry all original documents required for verification.
5. Complete physical scrutiny within the deadline.
6. Complete admission at the allotted institute by 5:00 PM on September 22, 2026.
7. Candidates with upgraded seats should obtain the required Relieving Letter from their previous institution.
8. Keep proof of scrutiny, admission and fee payment safely for future reference.
