Chhattisgarh NEET UG Counselling 2026: Seat Resignation Deadline Extended to September 11

The Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Chhattisgarh has issued an important notice regarding the extension of the Seat Resignation/Seat Withdrawal deadline for candidates admitted through the first phase of Chhattisgarh NEET UG (MBBS/BDS) Counselling 2026.

According to the notice dated September 10, 2026, the deadline for candidates who wish to cancel or surrender their admission obtained through the state counselling has been extended from September 10, 2026, 12:00 Noon to September 11, 2026, 2:00 PM.

The notice has been issued under Order No. 1563/Student/Counselling/Directorate of Medical Education/2026 and follows the earlier notice dated September 7, 2026. The official Commissionerate of Medical Education website has also published the earlier seat resignation/withdrawal notice for Round 1 admitted candidates.

Candidates who were admitted through Round 1 of Chhattisgarh State NEET UG Counselling 2026 and now wish to surrender or cancel their allotted admission can complete the process within the extended deadline.

Seat Withdrawal Deadline Extended

As per the earlier schedule, the Seat Resign Portal / Seat Withdrawal Portal was available from September 7, 2026, at 2:30 PM until September 10, 2026, at 12:00 Noon.

The Directorate of Medical Education has now extended this facility up to:

September 11, 2026, 2:00 PM

This extension provides additional time to Round 1 admitted candidates who have decided to cancel or surrender their admission obtained through the Chhattisgarh state counselling process.

Candidates Must Complete the Process at the Allotted Institute

Candidates wishing to surrender their seats must report to their respective admitted institution and complete the admission cancellation/seat resignation procedure within the revised deadline.

Candidates should not wait until the final hours and should complete all required formalities before the portal and institutional process closes.

Who Can Use the Seat Resignation Facility?

The facility is applicable to candidates who:

  • Were admitted through Round 1 of Chhattisgarh State NEET UG Counselling 2026.
  • Received admission to MBBS or BDS through the state counselling process.
  • Now wish to cancel or surrender their admission.
  • Complete the prescribed resignation/withdrawal process within the revised deadline.

Candidates who want to surrender their Round 1 MBBS/BDS seat should:

  1. Check their admission and counselling details.
  2. Access the prescribed Seat Resign/Seat Withdrawal facility.
  3. Report to the concerned admitted institution.

  5. Ensure that the process is completed before September 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
  6. Keep proof of the completed resignation/withdrawal process for future reference.
