The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) along with the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official schedule for the CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2025–26. This national-level examination is conducted for determining eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in subjects related to Science and Technology including Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Earth Sciences.
According to the official notification released by NTA, the exam is scheduled to be held in the December 2025 session and registrations are open for candidates seeking admission to Ph.D. programs and research fellowships across India.

Applicants must ensure that all details in the admit card are correct; any discrepancy should be reported immediately.
On exam day, candidates must carry:
Printed admit card
A valid photo ID (Aadhaar / Passport / Voter ID / Driving Licence)
Transparent ball-point pen (if offline exam mode)
Reach the examination centre at least 90 minutes before the scheduled time to complete entry formalities.
Follow all COVID-19 safety guidelines, if applicable.
