The counselling round will fill vacant seats in government, private unaided non-minority and minority dental colleges affiliated with the university in Andhra Pradesh. The vacancies include unfilled seats, seats where candidates did not join and vacancies arising from the Free Exit facility after Phase 1 and Phase 2.
Eligible candidates listed in the university’s final merit list dated August 29, 2026, and its addendum dated September 1, 2026, can exercise web options after excluding candidates holding All India Quota seats up to Round 3, as specified in the Medical Counselling Committee notice dated October 10, 2026.

Candidates should complete the web options process before the deadline. The university has advised applicants to consult the user manual available on its website before submitting their choices.
Candidates whose names appear in the notified final merit list and who meet the eligibility requirements can participate, subject to the applicable exclusions.
The university has specified the following conditions:
Candidates who joined in Phase 1 or Phase 2: They can exercise fresh options to seek an upgrade to a preferred college. If upgraded, their previously joined seat will be cancelled automatically.
Candidates allotted seats but who did not report: They can participate for other colleges, except the college they failed to join in Phase 1 or Phase 2.
Candidates who did not receive an allotment or did not exercise options earlier: They can participate in Phase 3, subject to eligibility.
Candidates who availed Free Exit: They are not eligible to exercise web options in this or subsequent counselling phases.
Candidates holding All India Quota seats: Candidates identified as holding an All India Quota seat up to Round 3 will be excluded from this Competent Authority Quota round and subsequent counselling phases, as specified in the notification.
Sports and Games category applicants: They must exercise options under the relevant category according to the seat matrix and the final merit list displayed on October 16, 2026.
Candidates who joined in an earlier phase but do not submit fresh web options will not be considered for regular sliding or upgradation in Phase 3. They may be considered for default sliding where applicable, limited to a change in seat category within the same college.
Eligible candidates can follow these steps to submit their college preferences:
Visit the official BDS web options portal.
Log in using the required candidate credentials.
Review the available colleges, seat matrix and eligibility conditions.
Select colleges in the order of preference, including only those institutions the candidate is genuinely willing to join.
Pay the refundable security deposit of INR 10,000 through the online payment facility before exercising web options.
Submit the selected options using the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the registered mobile number and email address.
Save and print a copy of the submitted options for future reference.
There is no limit on the number of web options. Candidates are advised to list colleges in their genuine order of preference, irrespective of the vacancies displayed.
The university has cautioned that options are final after submission. Any edits made later must be resubmitted with OTP verification before the deadline. Candidates should ensure that the final choices are successfully submitted within the notified schedule.
Candidates participating in Phase 3 must pay a refundable security deposit of INR 10,000 online before exercising web options.
The university has specified the following conditions:
The security deposit will be forfeited if a candidate does not join the seat allotted in Phase 3.
Candidates who join their allotted seats will receive a refund after the closure of admissions.
Candidates who are not allotted a seat will also receive a refund after admissions close.
The deposit may be forfeited if an admission is cancelled because of incorrect information or failure to produce the required documents within the stipulated period.
The university is not responsible for failed transactions caused by network issues, bank declines or transaction-limit restrictions.
The university fee is INR 12,600. Candidates selected for admission must pay this fee through the online payment gateway to download their provisional allotment order. Those who already paid the university fee during Phase 1 or Phase 2 do not need to pay it again. However, they must download a fresh allotment order if their college or seat category changes.
Tuition fees will be charged according to the interim fee structure prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the 2026-27 academic year.
Candidates should carefully consider the consequences of selecting preferences during the Mop-Up round.
If a candidate who joined a seat in Phase 1 or Phase 2 receives an upgraded allotment in Phase 3, the previously joined seat will be cancelled automatically. The candidate will have no claim to the earlier seat after upgradation.
Candidates should therefore select only colleges they genuinely prefer over their current institution. Seats released through upgradation may be included in the seat matrix and allotted to other eligible candidates during the same counselling round.
The university has also clarified that sliding or upgradation will be permitted only up to Phase 3. Candidates who joined in Phase 1 or Phase 2, as well as candidates allotted seats in Phase 3, will not be eligible for the subsequent Stray Vacancy Round or Management Quota Phase 3 counselling, as stated in the notification.
There will be no upgradation or Free Exit after Phase 3. Candidates are also not permitted to withdraw from the course until admissions close.
Candidates allotted seats in Phase 3 must report to their respective colleges within the deadline mentioned in the provisional allotment order. Admission will require the submission and verification of original certificates.
The principal of the allotted college will verify the original documents. If any discrepancy is found or a candidate is determined to be ineligible, the provisional allotment may be cancelled without notice, and action may be initiated under university regulations.
Candidates who move from one Andhra Pradesh college to another through upgradation must submit the custodian certificate issued by their previously joined college under Dr. NTR UHS to the newly allotted college. The original certificates will be transferred by the first college to the subsequently allotted institution.
Candidates should regularly check the university website for allotment status, reporting instructions and further counselling updates.
Candidates can contact the university for clarification regarding counselling regulations, technical difficulties and online payments.
