The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate & Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC & ACPPGMEC), Government of Gujarat has issued the eligibility criteria and list of documents required for MDS admission for the academic year 2026-27.
The guidelines apply to candidates seeking admission through the Gujarat MDS admission process. Candidates are required to meet the prescribed educational qualifications, internship requirements and applicable Gujarat eligibility conditions before participating in the admission process.
Candidates seeking admission to the MDS course must fulfil the applicable eligibility conditions prescribed by ACPPGMEC.
Candidates who have completed a recognized BDS course from a university established under any law of the Government of Gujarat and situated in Gujarat are eligible, subject to the applicable admission requirements.
Candidates who completed their recognized BDS course from a university established under any law of the Government of India and situated in any State, Union Territory or outside India must fulfil the applicable DCI, New Delhi/Government of India eligibility criteria.
Such candidates must also have passed the Class 12 qualifying examination with B Group or AB Group from one of the following, subject to the conditions specified by ACPPGMEC:
The school must be located in the State of Gujarat, and the candidate must have been born in Gujarat or be a domicile of Gujarat State.
Candidates must have completed their compulsory rotating internship on or before May 31, 2026.
Candidates should keep their internship completion certificate ready as it is one of the documents required during the admission process.
Candidates must submit the prescribed documents during the admission and verification process.
Candidates must provide all years' BDS attempt-wise marksheets.
A copy of the NEET-PG (MDS) marksheet for the current academic year is required.
Candidates must submit the internship completion certificate, confirming completion of the compulsory rotating internship on or before May 31, 2026.
Candidates must provide the applicable registration document:
A document showing date and place of birth and Indian citizenship is required.
The School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate is compulsory for all candidates.
If the place of birth is not mentioned in the School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate, candidates must additionally provide a Birth Certificate or Passport.
Candidates claiming reservation benefits must submit the certificates issued by the competent authority as specified by ACPPGMEC.
Candidates belonging to SEBC, ST or SC categories must submit a caste certificate issued by the competent authority of Gujarat State only.
SEBC candidates must submit a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (Parishistha '4') in Gujarati or English issued by the competent authority of Gujarat State.

Candidates should ensure that their certificate meets the applicable date and validity requirements.
Candidates claiming Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) benefits must submit an EWS certificate issued by the competent authority of Gujarat State only.
The prescribed certificate requirements are:
Candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category must submit a Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority.
Candidates with dual or foreign citizenship must submit a copy of their Passport.
Candidates who completed their BDS course outside Gujarat are required to submit:
The domicile certificate is specifically required for candidates who completed BDS outside Gujarat if their place of birth is outside Gujarat.
