The Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh has announced that the Final Seat Allocation for MBBS/BDS Round 1 counselling based on NEET UG 2026 is now available.
The notice, issued on August 29, 2026, directs candidates to check their final seat allocation and follow the prescribed admission process.
Candidates who participated in the MBBS/BDS 1st Round counselling conducted on the basis of NEET UG 2026 can now check their final seat allocation.
AMRU has advised candidates to download the Provisional Allotment Letter from their candidate login before approaching the allotted college or institute.
The university has specifically clarified that admission will not be considered without seat allocation through AMRU.
The notice also mentions a supernumerary MBBS seat at Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba.
The seat has been created by the National Medical Commission (NMC) in compliance with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 2026 arising out of SLP (C) No. 18686 of 2023, Secretary NMC Vs Sanjna Thakur.
According to the notice, the supernumerary MBBS seat has been allotted to Sanjna Thakur, daughter of Gopal Singh, in accordance with the Supreme Court's directions.
Candidates claiming benefits under any reserved category or quota have been advised to ensure that all certificates and documents submitted by them are valid, updated and in the prescribed format mentioned in the prospectus.
Candidates should update or obtain the required certificates in the prescribed format, wherever necessary, before the admission process begins.
AMRU has clarified that candidates may lose the benefit of their claimed category or quota if they submit outdated, invalid or incomplete certificates.
The university has also clarified that a provisional seat allotment does not confer an automatic right to admission.
The final eligibility and category claim of a candidate will remain subject to verification and approval by the Admission Committee of the concerned institute.
Therefore, candidates should ensure that all required documents are complete and valid before reporting for admission.
Candidates have been advised to approach their allotted college or institute only after downloading the Provisional Allotment Letter from their candidate login.
AMRU has stated that admission will not be considered without the corresponding AMRU seat allocation.Candidates should carefully read the allotment letter and follow the admission instructions issued by the university and the allotted institution.
