The Atal Medical & Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh has released the Provisional Seat Allocation List for the first round of MDS counselling 2026-27 based on NEET MDS 2026.

The notice was issued on September 5, 2026, under Notice No. AMRU/(COE)-Admission-121/2026-27(MDS)-5112. The provisional allocation includes candidates allotted seats in Government and private dental colleges in Himachal Pradesh under different admission quotas and categories.

AMRU MDS Round 1 Provisional Seat Allocation 2026

The provisional list contains seat allocations across various MDS specialisations, including:

• Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge
• Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry
• Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics
• Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics
• Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
• Periodontology

The listed institutions include H.P. Government Dental College and Hospital, Shimla, Bhojia Dental College and Hospital, Nalagarh, Himachal Dental College, Sunder Nagar, and Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences, Paonta Sahib, Sirmour.

Candidates Can Report Discrepancies Till September 6

Candidates who find any discrepancy in the Provisional Seat Allocation List have been instructed to immediately report it to counselling.amruhp@gmail.com.

The deadline for submitting discrepancies is:

September 6, 2026, up to 4:00 PM

Candidates should carefully verify their name, merit number, application number, allotted institute, course, quota and category details before the deadline.

Provisional Allocation Does Not Guarantee Admission

AMRU has clarified that the seat allocation is provisional and indicative in nature and may be changed.

Candidates cannot claim any right over a seat solely on the basis of the provisional merit or allocation list. The provisional allocation also cannot be challenged before a court of law, as stated in the notice.

Final admission will remain subject to the applicable eligibility and document verification requirements.

Reserved Category Candidates Must Verify Documents

Candidates claiming the benefit of any reserved category or quota have been advised to ensure that all certificates and documents submitted by them are valid, updated and in the prescribed format specified in the prospectus.

Candidates with outdated, invalid or missing documents may not be entitled to claim the respective category or quota benefit.

AMRU has further clarified that even if a seat is provisionally allotted, it does not confer any right of admission. Final eligibility and category claims will be verified and approved by the Admission Committee of the concerned institute.

The provisional allocation list includes seats at the following dental institutions:

• H.P. Government Dental College and Hospital, Shimla
• Bhojia Dental College and Hospital, Nalagarh
• Himachal Dental College, Sunder Nagar
• Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences, Paonta Sahib, Sirmour

The list includes allocations under HP Quota - Direct and Management Quota, with candidates allotted seats under categories including General, SC and ST, as specified in the provisional list.
