The Atal Medical & Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh has released the Provisional Seat Allocation List for the 2nd Round of MBBS/BDS Counselling 2026 based on NEET UG 2026.
The notice, issued on September 11, 2026, is applicable to candidates participating in the centralized counselling process conducted by AMRU for MBBS and BDS admissions for the academic session 2026-27.
Candidates have been advised to carefully check their provisional seat allocation and immediately report any discrepancy through the prescribed email address.
The provisional allocation list contains details including the candidate's merit number, application number, allotted institute, applied quota, applied category, allotted quota and allotted category.
The list includes allocations to various government medical colleges, government dental colleges and private medical/dental institutions in Himachal Pradesh.
Among the institutes appearing in the provisional allocation list are Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla; Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda; Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College and Hospital, Ner Chowk; Dr RadhaKrishanan Government Medical College, Hamirpur; Dr Yashwant Parmar Government Medical College, Nahan; Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College and Hospital, Chamba; H.P. Government Dental College and Hospital, Shimla; Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College, Kumarhatti; Himachal Dental College, Sunder Nagar; Bhojia Dental College and Hospital, Nalagarh; and Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences, Paonta Sahib.
The list also includes allocations under HP Quota, NRI Quota and Management Quota, along with categories such as General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, Single Girl Child, Children of J&K Migrants and other applicable reserved categories.
Candidates who find any discrepancy in their merit position or provisional allocation have been directed to report the issue to AMRU.

Candidates should carefully verify their details and submit genuine discrepancies within the prescribed deadline.
AMRU has clearly stated that the provisional seat allocation is indicative in nature and subject to change.
Candidates cannot claim any right over a seat solely on the basis of the provisional allocation. The provisional allocation also cannot be challenged before a court of law.
Therefore, candidates should wait for the final allocation and completion of the required eligibility and document verification process before treating the seat as confirmed.
Candidates who have claimed benefits under any reserved category or quota must ensure that all submitted certificates and documents are:
Candidates have been advised to update or obtain the required certificates in the prescribed format wherever necessary.
In case of an outdated or invalid certificate, discrepancy in documents or non-submission of the prescribed document, the candidate may not be entitled to the benefit of the respective category or quota.
AMRU has further clarified that provisional allotment of a seat does not confer any right of admission. Final eligibility and category claims will remain subject to verification and approval by the Admission Committee of the concerned institute.
The provisional allocation list includes candidates allotted to a range of medical and dental institutions in Himachal Pradesh.
The list also includes allocations to private institutions such as Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College, Kumarhatti; Himachal Dental College, Sunder Nagar; Bhojia Dental College and Hospital, Nalagarh; and Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences, Paonta Sahib, Sirmour.
