The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has issued an office order dated 28 September 2026 regarding a correction in the NEET UG 2026 State Merit List prepared for the third-round online interview for admission to medical, dental and homeopathic medical institutions in the state.

The correction relates to the status and merit position of a candidate in the state merit list issued for the third-round online interview for the 2026-27 academic session.

Category Claim Corrected to General

According to the JCECEB order, the candidate had submitted an online application for inclusion in the state merit list based on the NEET UG 2026 examination result.

In the online application, the candidate had claimed the BC-I category. However, the candidate had entered General category in the NEET UG 2026 examination application.

As per the directions issued by the Board, the BC-I category claim was rejected, and the candidate was placed under the General category.

Candidate Initially Listed Under Ineligible Candidates

JCECEB stated that the candidate's name was not included in the State Merit List issued for the third-round online interview on 26 September 2026. Instead, due to an error, the candidate's name was included at Serial No. 1 in the list of ineligible candidates.

After due consideration, the Board has now corrected the error.

Candidate Included in State Merit List

JCECEB has ordered that the candidate's name be removed from Serial No. 1 of the ineligible candidates list.

The candidate has subsequently been included in the State Merit List at Rank No. 446 and has been assigned Common Merit List (CML) No. 445A.

The Board has directed that the State Merit List issued on 26 September 2026 for the third-round online interview shall be considered modified to this extent.

Correction in Third-Round NEET UG Counselling Merit List

The correction is relevant to the third-round online interview process for admission to medical, dental and homeopathic medical institutions in Jharkhand.
