The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has announced the schedule for the Second Round of Online Counselling for MDS All India Quota and NRI Quota seats at Vananchal Dental College & Hospital, Farathiya, Garhwa.
According to Advt. No. JCECEB/48/26-86 dated September 18, 2026, the counselling will be conducted on the basis of the NEET MDS 2026 result and as per the applicable guidelines issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Dental Council of India (DCI), New Delhi.
The Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, Ranchi has earmarked 60% of the MDS seats for All India Quota and 15% for NRI-supported candidates out of the approved intake of 16 MDS seats at Vananchal Dental College & Hospital.

Candidates should complete the application and document-uploading process within the prescribed schedule.
The counselling is being conducted for MDS seats at Vananchal Dental College & Hospital, Farathiya, Garhwa.
As per the notice, out of the approved intake of 16 MDS seats:
The remaining seats are governed by the applicable counselling and quota arrangements notified by the competent authorities.
Candidates applying for the second round must be qualified and eligible in NEET MDS 2026 and fulfil the eligibility conditions mentioned in the notice.
Candidates must have passed the BDS degree course from a university or college approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI).
Candidates must have Permanent or Temporary Registration from the DCI or Jharkhand State Medical Council.
Candidates with temporary registration may also be eligible for admission to the MDS course. However, they must obtain Permanent Registration by the last date of admission.
Failure to obtain permanent registration within the prescribed period will result in cancellation of admission.
Candidates must have completed their Rotating Internship by May 31, 2026.
JCECEB has specifically stated that it is mandatory for candidates to upload their NEET MDS 2026 Score Card while submitting the online application.
Candidates should keep a clear copy of their score card ready before starting the application process.
After the online application and document-uploading process, JCECEB will publish the Provisional State Merit List for Round 2 on September 22, 2026.
Eligible candidates can then participate in online registration and choice filling for seat allotment from September 23 to September 25, 2026.
The Provisional Seat Allotment Letter will be issued on September 26, 2026.
Candidates allotted seats will have to complete certificate verification and admission at the concerned institute between September 27 and September 30, 2026.
Candidates participating in the counselling process are required to pay the prescribed Application/Registration Fee, Counselling Fee and Security Deposit through the payment gateway.

Candidates should verify the applicable security deposit before making payment.
JCECEB has stated that the security money will be forfeited if a candidate does not take admission after seat allotment in the second or subsequent rounds of counselling.

The notice further states that the security money deposited during counselling will be refunded to the candidate and/or institute within three months after completion of the last round of online counselling, subject to the applicable conditions.
