The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has issued a revised schedule for the 2nd and 3rd rounds of online counselling for admission to MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses for the academic session 2026-27.

According to Advt. No. JCECEB/46/26-84 dated September 17, 2026, the revised schedule has been issued in compliance with the directions of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, dated September 14, 2026, regarding the NEET UG 2026 schedule for the second and third rounds of State counselling.

The revised schedule covers State Quota, All India Quota and NRI Quota vacant seats, as applicable.

Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling 2026: Round 2 Schedule Revised

For State Quota seats in MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses, the dates for provisional seat allotment and document verification/admission have been updated.

JCECEB has stated that there is no change in activities from Serial No. (a) to (g) of the previously notified Round 2 schedule.

Round 2 All India/NRI Quota MBBS Seats

For vacant 60% All India Quota seats and 15% NRI-supported seats in MBBS courses at the specified Jharkhand medical colleges, the updated dates are:

• Provisional Seat Allotment Letter: September 12–19, 2026
• Document Verification & Admission: September 12–19, 2026

The concerned institutions include Laxmi Chandravansi Medical College & Hospital, Palamu; Netaji Subhas Medical College and Hospital, Seraikela-Kharsawan; Sido Kanhu Medical College & Hospital, Dumka; and Birsa Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Khunti.

Round 2 All India/NRI Quota BDS Seats

For vacant 60% All India Quota and 15% NRI-supported seats in BDS at Vananchal Dental College and Hospital, Garhwa, under Babu Dinesh Singh University, Garhwa, the updated dates are:

• Provisional Seat Allotment Letter: September 12–19, 2026
• Document Verification & Admission: September 12–19, 2026

Jharkhand NEET UG Round 3 Counselling 2026: Revised Schedule

JCECEB has also revised the complete schedule for the third round of online counselling.

State Quota MBBS, BDS & BHMS

The revised vacant seat matrix on October 5 will be displayed if State Quota seats are surrendered following All India Quota seat allotment in the third round.

Round 3 All India Quota MBBS Seats

For the applicable All India and NRI quota MBBS seats, the revised schedule is:

Round 3 All India/NRI Quota BDS Seats

For BDS seats at Vananchal Dental College and Hospital, Garhwa, the Round 3 schedule is:

Candidates Can Upgrade Course or College in Round 3

Candidates admitted through the first or second round of online counselling who wish to change their course or institution against available vacant seats can participate in Round 3.

If a candidate receives a new allotment in Round 3, admission to the newly allotted course and institute will be mandatory. The earlier admission will automatically stand cancelled.

The seat vacated by the candidate will subsequently be allotted to another eligible candidate on the basis of merit-cum-choice.

JCECEB has clarified that course and institute upgradation will be carried out only up to the third round.

Candidates applying for upgradation may also be upgraded to a different category or quota, depending on the actual vacancy and the candidate's merit.

Candidates Already in State Merit List Need Not Apply Again

Candidates whose names are already included in the State Merit List released on September 7, 2026, do not need to submit a fresh online application.

Such candidates can participate according to the applicable Round 3 counselling process and choice-filling schedule.

Important Rule for State Quota Candidates Joining AIQ Seats

JCECEB has issued an important instruction for candidates admitted to a State Quota seat through Round 2.

If such a candidate receives an All India Quota seat in Round 3 and wishes to join the AIQ seat, the candidate must:

1. Surrender the State Quota seat.
2. Submit resignation to the State Quota admitting institute.
3. Complete the resignation process by October 3, 2026.

In such a case, the candidate's security money will be forfeited.
