The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has issued an important notice regarding corrections in the State Merit List prepared on the basis of NEET UG 2026 results.

The notice, issued on September 12, 2026, relates to the State Merit List being used for online counselling for admission to MBBS, BDS and BHMS State Quota seats in Jharkhand.

JCECEB stated that representations have been received from candidates seeking an opportunity to correct their category and other particulars. The Board has clarified that only representations submitted in accordance with Clause 7 of Advertisement No. JCECEB/46/26-47 dated August 6, 2026 will be considered.

Who Can Submit Correction Requests?

The correction facility is available to candidates whose names are included in the State Merit Lists published by JCECEB on September 7, 2026.

Eligible candidates can submit a fresh application for required minor corrections, provided the request is supported by the necessary documents.

The Board has specifically mentioned corrections or updates relating to:

• Date of Birth (D.O.B.)
• Gender
• Name
• Local Resident Certificate (LRC) of Jharkhand
• Caste Certificate
• Income & Assets Certificate
• Other permitted minor particulars as applicable under the earlier advertisement

Fresh Application Must Be Sent by Email

Candidates seeking correction must submit a fresh application clearly mentioning the required correction along with the requisite supporting documents.

The submission window will remain open from September 14, 2026, to September 18, 2026, up to 6:00 PM.

JCECEB has clearly stated that requests received after the stipulated deadline or without the required supporting documents will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Certificate Issuing Authority Clarified

JCECEB has also clarified the acceptable issuing authority for certain category certificates.

For ST, SC, BC-I (NCL), BC-II (NCL) and I&A certificates for EWS, only certificates issued by an officer not below the level of Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) of the Jharkhand State will be accepted.

Candidates seeking correction or certificate updation should therefore ensure that their documents meet the prescribed requirements before submitting the request.

The State Merit List prepared on the basis of NEET UG 2026 will be used for conducting the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Stray Vacancy rounds of online counselling for State Quota MBBS, BDS and BHMS seats.
