The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has announced a revised schedule for the ongoing Stray Vacancy Round of online counselling for admission to MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses for the 2026–27 academic session.

The revision follows the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) directive dated October 14, 2026, regarding the extension of the All India Quota Stray Vacancy Round schedule. The revised notice extends the application window for new candidates and changes the dates for merit list publication, choice filling and seat allotment.

The revised schedule applies to vacant State Quota seats in MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses, as well as specified All India seats in selected medical and dental colleges in Jharkhand. Other terms and conditions of the earlier notice dated October 14, 2026, will remain unchanged.

Candidates should check the revised dates carefully and complete the required counselling steps within the applicable deadlines.

Jharkhand NEET UG Stray Vacancy Round 2026: Revised Dates for State Quota Seats

The following schedule applies to vacant State Quota seats in MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses.

New candidates must submit their applications by October 18, 2026. Registered candidates should pay particular attention to the separate deadlines for application editing, choice filling and choice editing.

Revised Schedule for All India MBBS Seats in Jharkhand

JCECEB has also revised the Stray Vacancy Round schedule for vacant All India MBBS seats at the following institutions:

• Laxmi Chandravansi Medical College and Hospital, Palamu

• Netaji Subhas Medical College and Hospital, Seraikela-Kharsawan

• Sido Kanhu Medical College and Hospital, Dumka

• Birsa Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Khunti

Revised Schedule for All India BDS Seats in Jharkhand

The revised notice also covers vacant All India BDS seats at the following dental colleges:

• Awadh Dental College and Hospital, Jamshedpur

How to Participate in Jharkhand NEET UG Stray Vacancy Counselling 2026

Candidates should follow the official JCECEB instructions for their respective counselling category. The general sequence is:

1. Visit the official JCECEB website: https://jeeceb.jharkhand.gov.in.

2. Open the relevant notice under the Important Notice section.

3. New candidates should submit their online applications by October 18, 2026.

4. Registered candidates should check whether application editing is required and complete it within the notified window, where applicable.

5. Check the published merit list and vacant seat matrix.

6. Fill in the preferred colleges and courses during the choice-filling window.

7. Edit submitted choices, if required, before the applicable deadline.

8. Check and download the provisional seat allotment letter, if allotted a seat.

9. Complete document verification and admission between October 22 and 26, 2026, as applicable.

Candidates should follow the instructions for the specific seat category they are applying for, as the application editing window listed for State Quota seats is not separately specified for the All India seat schedules in this notice.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• The deadline for new applications has been extended to October 18, 2026.

• State Quota candidates must complete choice filling by October 21 at 6 PM.

• The State Quota application-editing window is October 18 from 9:01 PM to midnight.

• The State Quota choice-editing window is October 21 from 6:01 PM to midnight.
