The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the schedule for the first round of online seat allotment for NEET MDS 2026. The schedule has been issued under No. ED/KEA/ADMN/CR-13/2026 dated September 5, 2026.

According to KEA, the schedule follows the issuance of the PG Dental seat matrix for 2026 by the Medical Education Department. Eligible NEET MDS 2026 candidates can participate in the counselling process through the KEA portal.

Karnataka NEET MDS 2026 First Round Schedule

KEA NEET MDS Option Entry Begins September 5

Eligible candidates can begin option entry in order of preference from September 5, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

The option-entry window will remain open until September 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Candidates should enter their choices carefully according to their preferred colleges, courses and available seats.

Following the mock allotment result, candidates will be provided an opportunity to add, delete, modify, reorder or alter their options.

Mock Allotment and Real Seat Allotment

KEA will publish the mock allotment result on September 7, 2026, after 4:00 PM. Candidates can use the mock allotment to review their choices and make changes if required.

The first round real allotment process will then proceed as follows:

• Provisional Result: September 9, 2026 after 6:00 PM
• Final Result: September 10, 2026 after 11:00 AM

Candidates allotted seats in the first round will subsequently have to exercise the applicable choice among the options provided by KEA and complete the required fee payment and admission formalities.

Document Submission and Reporting Dates to Be Announced

KEA has stated that the dates for submission of original documents at KEA, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, and downloading of the admission order will be published later.

The last date for reporting at the allotted dental college for Choice-1 candidates will also be announced separately.

Candidates should therefore regularly monitor the KEA website for further notifications.

Important Instructions for Candidates

KEA has clarified that academic eligibility, admission and seat allotments will remain subject to the rules and conditions specified from time to time and the approvals of authorities including NMC, DCI, the Government, concerned university and other apex bodies, wherever applicable.

KEA also reserves the right to withdraw an admission at any stage if the candidate does not fulfil the eligibility criteria or applicable regulations.Participating dental colleges have been directed to treat Saturdays, Sundays and Gazetted Holidays as working days during the counselling process because of the limited time available.
