The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has started the Round 1 option entry process for Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2026. The option-entry window became active on August 7, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
Eligible candidates can now enter their preferred medical and dental colleges and courses online through the official KEA counselling portal. Candidates are required to arrange their choices in order of preference before the option-entry deadline.

During the option-entry process, candidates can select their preferred MBBS and BDS colleges and courses and arrange them according to their priority. Candidates should carefully review their choices before submitting them.
The order of preferences entered by candidates will be considered during the seat allotment process, subject to their eligibility, rank and seat availability.
The Karnataka NEET UG Round 1 option-entry window will remain open until August 13, 2026, at 9:00 AM. Candidates should complete their choices before the deadline and avoid waiting until the last moment to submit their preferences. After completion of the option-entry process, KEA will process the submitted preferences for Round 1 seat allotment. The provisional seat allotment result is scheduled to be released on August 19, 2026, after 10:00 AM.
Candidates allotted seats will have to follow the subsequent admission and reporting instructions issued by KEA.
Candidates should carefully verify the college and course preferences before final submission. They should also regularly check the official KEA website for updates regarding the seat allotment result, admission procedure and further counselling rounds.
