  • Candidates selected in Round 1 under Choice-2 or Choice-3.
  • Candidates who were not allotted any seat in Round 1.
  • Candidates who opted for Choice-4 in the UGCET 2026 second-round seat allotment, subject to availability of Medical or Dental options in their submitted option list.

Candidates should check their individual eligibility and the latest instructions issued by KEA before participating.

KEA Round 2 Option Entry 2026

The Round 2 option-entry window will open at 2:00 PM on September 7, 2026.

Candidates must log in to the KEA portal before the deadline, prioritize their preferred options, save and submit the options.

The option-entry process will close at 2:00 PM on September 9, 2026.

KEA has advised candidates to retain a printout of their finally submitted options for future reference.

Candidates Advised to Keep Checking Seat Availability

KEA has stated that seats which may be cancelled, forfeited or newly added, if any, will be published from time to time.

Candidates are therefore advised to regularly check the KEA website for updates regarding seat availability.

The authority has also clarified that seats may become available due to consequential vacancies arising during the seat-allotment process. Candidates are advised to retain all options they are interested in, irrespective of the seats currently shown in the seat matrix.

Virtual Vacancies in Round 2

The seat held by a Choice-2 candidate from Round 1 will be displayed as a virtual vacancy.

If a Choice-2 candidate gets upgraded to another seat in Round 2, the seat occupied by the candidate in Round 1 will become vacant. That seat may then be offered to the next eligible candidate, provided the corresponding option is available in the candidate's option list.

Therefore, eligible candidates should carefully retain the options they are interested in during Round 2.

Provisional and Final Results

KEA has stated that the provisional Round 2 seat allotment result will be announced later.

The second-round allotment will be conducted based on merit and the options entered by candidates, and the provisional results will be hosted on the KEA website.

The dates for Choice-4 selection and publication of the final Round 2 seat allotment results will also be announced separately.

After consolidation of Choice-4 seats, the Round 2 allotment will be re-run based on the options already entered by candidates. No changes in options will be permitted at that stage.

Choice-4 Candidates

KEA has clarified that candidates who select Choice-4 after the provisional results will exit the current UGNEET counselling process.

Such candidates will not be permitted to participate again for seat allotment.

Candidates who are not interested in their provisionally allotted seat or an MCC/other state seat may choose Choice-4, subject to the instructions and schedule announced by KEA.

Compulsory Admission After Final Allotment

Candidates who receive seats in the final Round 2 allotment will have to follow the prescribed admission process.

Such candidates will be required to:

  • Pay the prescribed fees.
  • Download the Seat Confirmation Slip.
  • Report to the allotted college.
  • Complete admission formalities within the schedule notified by KEA.

KEA has stated that the detailed schedule for compulsory admission will be announced later.

.

Important Note for Candidates

Candidates participating in KEA UGNEET Round 2 counselling 2026 should complete their option entry before 2:00 PM on September 9, 2026.

Candidates should carefully prioritize their options and retain a printout of the final submitted option list. They should also regularly monitor the KEA website because cancelled, forfeited, newly added and consequential vacancy seats may be published during the allotment process.

Candidates allotted a seat in the final result will be required to pay the prescribed fee, download the Seat Confirmation Slip and report to the allotted college according to the admission schedule announced by KEA.
