The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for option entry in the second round of UGNEET-2026 counselling for admission to medical and dental courses.

According to the notice dated September 9, 2026, eligible candidates have been given additional time to enter, save and submit their preferred medical and dental course options through the KEA counselling portal.

The revised deadline for option entry is now September 10, 2026, up to 9:30 AM.

Candidates participating in the second round of UGNEET 2026 medical and dental counselling must complete their option entry within the extended deadline.

Newly Added Medical Seats to Be Considered

The notice also refers to the availability of newly added seats in the Round 2 counselling process.

The Bagalkote Medical College and Research, Bagalkote, has been included among the institutions for which additional medical seats have been made available. KEA had earlier reported the addition of new medical seats for the second round, including seats at Bagalkote Medical College and Research.

Candidates interested in these newly available seats should ensure that the relevant college and course options are included in their preference list before the revised deadline.

Candidates should not merely enter their choices but must ensure that the option list is saved and submitted successfully on the KEA portal.

The option-entry window will close at:

September 10, 2026 – 9:30 AM
