The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for Round 2 option entry under UGNEET 2026 for admission to medical and dental courses in Karnataka.
As per KEA Notification No. ED/KEA/ADMN/CR-11/2026 dated September 9, 2026, candidates can now modify, alter or delete their options for the second-round seat allotment until September 10, 2026, at 9:30 AM. The notice relates to admission to UG medical and dental courses through Karnataka UGNEET counselling. The extension and deadline are also reflected in current KEA-related counselling listings.
The option entry window for UGNEET 2026 Round 2 has been extended to 9:30 AM on September 10, 2026.
Candidates participating in the second round can use the extended window to review their preferences and add, modify, reorder or delete options, wherever required, before final submission.
Candidates must ensure that their final option list is saved and submitted through the KEA portal before the revised deadline.
KEA has also informed candidates about the addition of Bagalkote Medical College and Research, Bagalkote, as a new government medical college.
The Government has issued the seat matrix for the college, which was published on the KEA website on September 7, 2026. Eligible candidates who are interested in the new college can add it to their option list during the extended Round 2 option-entry period.
KEA has issued several important instructions for candidates participating in the second-round option entry.
Candidates must log in to the portal before the deadline, enter and prioritise their preferred options, save the options and finally submit them.
KEA has also advised candidates to keep checking the official website because cancelled, forfeited or newly added seats may be published from time to time.
Importantly, candidates have been advised to retain all colleges and courses in which they are interested, even if a particular seat is not currently visible in the seat matrix. Seats may become available due to consequential vacancies generated during the allotment process.
