Candidates who have been allotted seats should carefully select their choice and complete the payment process within the deadline.
For UGCET courses, KEA has stated that candidates can select only Choice-1 or Choice-4.
Candidates selecting Choice-1 must mandatorily take admission to the allotted seat.
However, candidates who wish to participate in the third round of seat allotment can do so after the third-round schedule is announced by logging into the KEA portal.
Candidates who do not choose Choice-1 and wish to participate in the third round can cancel the seat allotted to them in the second round.
For this, they will have to pay a penalty of Rs. 5,000 and then log in to the third-round process and participate by paying the registration fee afresh.
KEA has also issued important instructions for candidates participating in UG Medical and Dental courses.
The first-round provisional seat allotment results for Medical and Dental courses were announced on August 23, 2026.
Candidates who have received a seat through MCC Round 1 counselling and wish to take admission to the MCC-allotted seat can exit from the KEA counselling process.
Such candidates can log in to the KEA website on August 25 or August 26, 2026, and select Choice-4 (Exit).
KEA has further stated that seats cancelled through Choice-4 because candidates have taken admission to seats allotted through MCC will be used for further allotment.
KEA will re-run the first-round seat allotment for Medical and Dental courses based on the options already entered by candidates.
Candidates will not be permitted to make changes to their existing options at this stage.
After the re-run of the allotment process, KEA will publish the revised first-round final allotment results.
Candidates may be considered for upgradation to higher-order option seats, subject to seat availability and the applicable allotment rules.
Following the revised allotment, the Choices selection portal for Medical and Dental courses for Round 1 will be enabled.
Candidates who have secured seats through KEA UGCET 2026 second-round counselling should complete their choice selection, fee payment and admission within the prescribed deadlines.
Medical and Dental candidates who have also participated in MCC counselling should carefully follow KEA's instructions regarding Choice-4 exit and the revised first-round allotment process.
