The Government of Kerala, Health & Family Welfare Department has approved the seat matrix for admission to MBBS courses in three self-financing medical colleges for the academic session 2026-27.
The approval was issued through G.O.(Ms) No.251/2026/H&FWD dated September 4, 2026, in continuation of the previous government orders and based on the proposal submitted by the Director of Medical Education, Kerala.
The approved colleges are Azeezia Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Meeyyannoor, Kollam; Dr. Moopen’s Medical College & Hospital, Wayanad; and MES Medical College, Perinthalmanna.
According to the government-approved seat distribution, these three colleges together have 200 MBBS seats.

The government order specifies that community seats can be up to a maximum of 50% of the total seats, while NRI seats can be up to 15% of the total seats and AIQ seats can be up to 15% of the total seats, subject to the approved distribution.
Azeezia Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Meeyyannoor, Kollam has been approved for a total of 50 MBBS seats.
The approved distribution includes 8 NRI seats and 8 Government seats. The college code is AZC.
Dr. Moopen’s Medical College & Hospital, Wayanad has a total approved intake of 100 MBBS seats.
The seat matrix includes 15 NRI seats and 15 Government seats. The college code is DMM.
MES Medical College, Perinthalmanna has been approved for 50 MBBS seats.
The approved matrix includes 25 Community seats, 7 NRI seats and 7 Government seats. The college code is EMC.
The seat matrix has been approved by the Health & Family Welfare (S) Department, Government of Kerala.
The order has been forwarded to the Director of Medical Education, Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala University of Health Sciences, Admission Supervisory Committee and the concerned self-financing medical colleges.
