Who Can Participate in the Stray Vacancy Round?

Candidates whose names appear in the CEE Kerala Rank List or Category List and who satisfy the prescribed eligibility requirements can register fresh options for the stray vacancy round.

Candidates may select all the courses and colleges they are willing to join, regardless of whether a vacancy is currently displayed for a particular college. Vacancies arising from non-joining, transfers, or the ongoing admission process may also be considered during allotment.

Important: Options submitted during previous counselling phases will be treated as void. Fresh option registration is mandatory for participation in this round.

Eligibility Restrictions for Candidates Already Admitted

CEE Kerala has specified certain restrictions for candidates who have already secured admission through earlier allotment phases.

  • Candidates admitted to government merit seats in a Government Nursing College through the first or second phase cannot participate in the stray vacancy round for the same specialty in another Government Nursing College.

  • Candidates admitted to government merit seats in a self-financing nursing college cannot participate in the stray vacancy round for the same subject in another self-financing nursing college.

  • Candidates admitted to government merit seats in a self-financing nursing college may seek admission to the same or another subject in a Government Nursing College through the stray vacancy round.

  • Candidates already admitted through the first or second allotment phase who receive a new allotment in the stray vacancy round will lose their existing admission.

Candidates should carefully review these conditions before submitting their options, as a new allotment may affect their current admission.
