The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has started the Second Phase of Centralized Allotment to Post Graduate Dental (MDS) Courses for 2026.

As per the notification dated September 18, 2026, candidates included in the State Rank List published by CEE Kerala can access the PG Dental 2026 Candidate Portal and confirm, delete or rearrange their existing options for the second phase of allotment.

The facility is available through the official CEE Kerala website.

Kerala NEET MDS Round 2: Important Dates

Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 must complete admission within the prescribed reporting period. CEE Kerala has clarified that no extension of the reporting deadline will be granted.

Online Option Confirmation Is Mandatory for Round 2

CEE Kerala has clarified that there is no facility for fresh option registration during the Second Round.

Candidates can only:

• Confirm existing options
• Delete existing options
• Rearrange existing options

Candidates who want to participate in Round 2 must click the “Confirm” button available on their Candidate Portal home page.

Candidates who do not confirm their options online will not be considered for the second phase of allotment against their existing options.

Round 1 Joined Candidates: Upgradation Rules

Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 and joined the allotted college will have their higher-order options retained.

Options listed below the allotted option will automatically be deleted, allowing the candidate to be considered for upgradation or retention of the same seat.

If a candidate joined a Round 1 seat but does not confirm options for Round 2, the candidate will not be considered for upgradation in Round 2, while the Round 1 joined seat will be retained.

Therefore, candidates who are satisfied with their Round 1 seat and do not want upgradation may choose not to confirm their options or may delete all registered options.

Round 1 Candidates Who Did Not Join or Quit Seat

CEE Kerala has issued specific instructions for candidates who received Round 1 allotments but did not complete admission within the prescribed period.

Candidates who:

• Did not take admission within the stipulated time after Round 1 allotment, or
• Quit the allotted seat after taking admission,

will lose their present allotment as well as all higher-order options and will not be considered for Round 2 allotment.

The registration fee paid by such candidates will be treated as a penalty and will not be refunded.

Service Quota Rank List on September 19

The Service Quota Rank List for PG Dental 2026 will be published on:

September 19, 2026

Candidates included in the Service Quota Rank List can register their options for PG Dental admission immediately after the rank list is published.

Fresh Option Registration in Final Round

CEE Kerala has clarified that fresh option registration will be available in the third and final round.

However, candidates participating in the final round will have to pay a fresh option registration fee.

For candidates opting only for a Government seat, the registration fee will be equivalent to the annual tuition fee of the opted seat.

Candidates opting for seats including a Private Self-Financing Medical College will have to pay a registration fee of INR 1,00,000.

For SC/ST/OE and other candidates eligible for fee concession, the applicable registration fee will be half of the prescribed amount, subject to the conditions specified by CEE Kerala.

The conversion of seats, if any, will be carried out during the final round.

Final Round Fee and Penalty Rules

CEE Kerala has stated that the registration fee paid for final-round allotment will be treated as a penalty and will not be refunded if a candidate does not join the seat allotted in the final phase.

Candidates who retain unnecessary options and subsequently do not take admission to a course or college allotted during the final phase may also lose eligibility for refund and may be liable to pay liquidated damages as stipulated under Clause 19.5.

Round 2 Admission and Fee Payment

Candidates who receive an allotment in the second phase must join the allotted course and college between September 26 and September 30, 2026, up to 4:00 PM.

Candidates must:

• Report to the allotted college.
• Produce the required documents.
• Pay the applicable fee or balance fee.
• Complete the admission formalities within the prescribed deadline.

Candidates will also be required to pay any admission fee prescribed by the concerned University at the time of admission.

CEE Kerala has clearly stated that no extension of time for reporting to the college will be granted under any circumstances.

Fee Exemption for Certain Categories

Candidates belonging to the following categories are exempted from payment of fees, except where applicable to Minority/NRI seats:

• SC
• ST
• OEC
• Children of Fishermen
• Inmates of Sri Chithra Home
• Inmates of Nirbhaya Home
• Inmates of Juvenile Home
