The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has released the revised provisional merit list for Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2026-27. The revised list has been published as part of the updated CAP Round 1 counselling process.

Candidates who have been included in the revised provisional merit list are advised to carefully verify their details, including their merit information and other application-related particulars. Candidates who identify an eligible discrepancy can submit a grievance within the prescribed deadline.

As per the revised counselling schedule, August 24, 2026, is the last date for submitting grievances against the revised provisional merit list, with grievances to be submitted by 5:00 PM. Candidates are required to provide appropriate supporting documentary proof wherever a correction is requested.

The grievance window is particularly relevant for newly registered candidates and candidates who freshly uploaded the required original colour-scanned documents during the extended registration period. The CET Cell has also clarified that candidates who were already eligible to submit grievances during the earlier August 19-20 window cannot submit fresh claims during this revised phase.

Following the grievance process, the final merit list is scheduled to be published on August 25, 2026. The seat matrix is also scheduled for release on the same date. Candidates will subsequently be able to participate in the choice-filling and preference process for CAP Round 1.

Under the revised schedule, online choice filling and preference submission is scheduled from August 26 to August 29, 2026, while the CAP Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled for August 30, 2026. Physical joining at the allotted college is scheduled to begin from August 31.

Candidates should regularly check the official Maharashtra NEET UG counselling portal for the latest notices, merit lists, seat matrix and CAP Round 1 admission instructions.

The revised timeline follows changes made to the Maharashtra MBBS/BDS counselling schedule after the extension of the All India Quota counselling schedule by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

How to Submit a Grievance

Candidates who are eligible to raise a grievance should:

1. Visit the official Maharashtra NEET UG counselling portal.
2. Open the NEET UG 2026 MBBS/BDS admission section.
3. Check the revised provisional merit list.
4. Verify their application and merit-related details.
5. Identify any genuine discrepancy requiring correction.
6. Submit the grievance within the prescribed deadline.
7. Upload or provide the required supporting documentary proof wherever applicable.

Candidates should ensure that the grievance is submitted before 5:00 PM on August 24, 2026.

What Happens After the Grievance Window?

After considering valid grievances, the Maharashtra CET Cell is scheduled to publish the final merit list on August 25, 2026. The seat matrix is also expected to be released on the same day.

Candidates will then proceed to choice filling and preference submission from August 26 to August 29, followed by the CAP Round 1 seat allotment on August 30, 2026.Candidates should carefully arrange their college preferences because the choices submitted during the counselling process play an important role in seat allotment.
