The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has released Notice No. 20 dated October 5, 2026, announcing the schedule for CAP Round 2 and CAP Round 3 for admission to BAMS, BHMS and BUMS (Group B) courses for the academic year 2026-27. The notice has been issued under reference to State CET Cell Notice No. 16 dated September 14, 2026, and the schedule published by NCISM and NCH, New Delhi.

According to the notice, CAP Round 1 for BAMS, BHMS and BUMS Group B courses has already been completed. The Maharashtra State CET Cell will now conduct CAP Round 2 to fill the seats remaining vacant after CAP Round 1. Candidates participating in the counselling process are advised to carefully follow the choice-filling, selection and joining deadlines.

Maharashtra AYUSH CAP Round 2 Schedule 2026

The CAP Round 2 seat matrix for BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses will be published on October 5, 2026. Candidates can fill their online choices or preferences from October 5 to October 8, 2026, up to 12:00 noon.

The CAP Round 2 Selection List will be declared on October 9, 2026. Candidates allotted seats in this round will have to physically join the allotted college with all original documents and the requisite fees from October 10 to October 14, 2026, up to 5:30 PM.

The CET Cell has clarified that payment through cheque is allowed on bank holidays, but the cheque must be replaced by a Demand Draft (DD) on the next working day. If the candidate fails to submit the DD on the next working day, the admission may be cancelled.

Maharashtra AYUSH CAP Round 3 Schedule 2026

The CAP Round 3 process will begin with online registration and session application for BAMS, BHMS and BUMS Group B courses. The registration window will remain open from October 15 to October 18, 2026, up to 5:00 PM.

Candidates must pay the registration fee through the online payment gateway between October 15 and October 18, 2026, up to 8:00 PM. A candidate will be considered registered for the process only after successful payment of the applicable registration fee.

Candidates must also upload coloured scanned copies of the original requisite documents on the portal from October 15 to October 18, 2026, up to 11:00 PM. The CET Cell has warned that candidates who fail to upload and submit the required documents will not be considered for the admission process or for the category claimed. Candidates must click the “Submit” option after uploading all documents; otherwise, their forms will be rejected.

Online document verification for newly registered candidates will be conducted from October 15 to October 19, 2026.

The Combined Registered Candidate List and Combined Provisional Merit List will both be published on October 20, 2026. Candidates can submit grievances along with supporting documents from October 21 to October 22, 2026, up to 6:00 PM. No correction will be entertained without appropriate supporting documents.

The Combined Final Merit List will be published on October 24, 2026, along with the CAP Round 3 Seat Matrix.

Candidates will be able to fill their online preferences for CAP Round 3 from October 25 to October 27, 2026, up to 11:59 PM. The CAP Round 3 Selection List will be declared on October 29, 2026.

Candidates allotted seats in CAP Round 3 will have to physically join the allotted college and fill the Status Retention Form with all original documents and requisite fees through DD/Cheque from October 30 to November 3, 2026, up to 5:30 PM.

Important Instructions for Candidates

The Maharashtra CET Cell has clarified that candidates participating in both AIQ counselling, whether State or Central, and Maharashtra State counselling must exercise their choices carefully. Candidates who have a joined status up to CAP-2 in AIQ rounds and are allotted a seat in CAP-3 of AIQ, whether State or Central, will be removed from the Maharashtra CAP-3 selection list even if they have filled their preferences.

The authority has further stated that candidates allotted a seat through AIQ Central or State in CAP-3 will not be allotted a seat through Maharashtra State Counselling CAP-3. Therefore, candidates must fill their preferences carefully because once a seat is allotted, joining the allotted seat is mandatory.

The schedule for subsequent Stray Vacancy Rounds will be announced separately in due course. The Maharashtra CET Cell has also stated that the schedule is subject to change based on directions issued by authorities including MCC, AACCC, the Central Government, the State Government and the Hon'ble Court.
