The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has issued Notice No. 08 for NEET-UG 2026, announcing an extension of the registration period and a revised schedule for admission to MBBS and BDS (Group A) Health Science courses for the 2026-27 academic year.

The decision has been taken in view of the extension granted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All India Quota counselling. Candidates seeking admission through Maharashtra State NEET UG counselling are advised to carefully check the revised deadlines and complete the required steps within the specified server timings.

Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 Registration Deadline Extended

According to the revised schedule, candidates can now complete online registration and session application for MBBS and BDS courses until August 15, 2026, at 8:00 PM.

The deadline for payment of the registration fee has been extended until August 15, 2026, at 10:00 PM. Candidates will be considered registered only after the registration fee has been successfully paid through the online payment gateway.

Candidates must also upload coloured scanned copies of all original requisite documents by August 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Candidates who fail to upload the required documents will not be considered for admission under the claimed category.

Revised Maharashtra NEET UG CAP Round 1 Schedule 2026

Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 Merit List and Seat Matrix

The Registered Candidate List and Provisional Merit List for Group A candidates will be published on August 18, 2026.

Candidates will be allowed to submit grievances from August 19 to August 20, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. Any correction request must be supported by the necessary documentary proof. The State CET Cell has clarified that changes will not be entertained without supporting documents.

The Final Merit List and Seat Matrix will be published on August 21, 2026.

Maharashtra NEET UG Choice Filling Dates

After publication of the seat matrix, the online choice and preference filling process will be conducted from August 22 to August 24, 2026, up to 5:30 PM.

Candidates should carefully arrange their college and course preferences before submitting their choices.

The Maharashtra NEET UG CAP Round 1 allotment/result will be declared on August 25, 2026.

Physical Joining for Maharashtra NEET UG CAP Round 1

Candidates allotted an MBBS or BDS seat in CAP Round 1 must complete physical joining at the allotted college between August 26 and August 30, 2026, up to 5:30 PM.

Candidates must carry all original documents and the requisite admission fee in the prescribed form while reporting to the allotted college.

The notice states that payment by cheque is permitted on bank holidays, but the cheque must be replaced by a Demand Draft (DD) on the next working day. Failure to submit the DD on the next working day may result in cancellation of admission.

Important Instructions for NRI Candidates

The State CET Cell has also issued a specific instruction for NRI candidates. NRI candidates must register on the Foreign Candidate Registration Portal by August 14, 2026, up to 11:59 PM for verification of their eligibility.

After the eligibility verification, the subsequent counselling schedule will remain the same as mentioned in the revised CAP Round 1 schedule.

Candidates are advised to refer to Notice No. 04 for detailed eligibility criteria and the NRI registration process.

Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling Schedule May Change

The State CET Cell has clarified that the revised schedule is subject to change based on directions issued by authorities including MCC, AACCC, the Central Government, the Maharashtra Government or the Hon’ble Court.

Candidates should therefore regularly check the official Maharashtra State CET Cell portal for the latest counselling updates and notices.
