The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published comprehensive information regarding the NEET UG 2026 counselling process to help qualified candidates understand the admission procedure for undergraduate medical courses across India.

The counselling will be conducted online through the official MCC portal for admissions under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and participating institutions, including AIIMS, JIPMER, Central Universities, Deemed Universities, ESIC, AFMC (through separate admission process), and other participating institutes.

The official counselling schedule is expected to be released soon.

Registration Will Be Mandatory

Candidates wishing to participate in MCC NEET UG 2026 counselling must first complete online registration through the official counselling portal. After successful registration, candidates will be required to:

• Fill their preferred colleges and courses.
• Lock their choices before the deadline.
• Participate in seat allotment rounds.
• Report to the allotted institute after seat allocation.

Seats Covered Under MCC Counselling

The counselling conducted by MCC includes admissions to:

• 15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS/BDS seats
• AIIMS
• JIPMER
• Central Universities
• Deemed Universities
• ESIC Medical Colleges
• Other participating institutions notified by MCC.

Admissions to 85% State Quota seats will continue to be conducted separately by the respective state counselling authorities.

Reservation Guidelines

MCC has also explained the reservation policy applicable during counselling. Seat allotment will be carried out according to:

• Candidate's NEET UG 2026 rank.
• Reservation category.
• Choice preferences submitted during counselling.
• Seat availability.
• Applicable reservation rules for participating institutions.

Candidates are advised to carefully verify their category certificates and other required documents before registration.

Although the detailed counselling process has been explained, MCC has not yet released the official counselling timetable.
