The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has declared the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Final Seat Allotment Result for the academic session 2026-27. Candidates who participated in the Round 1 counselling process can now check their final seat allotment details through the official MCC counselling portal.

According to the final allotment result, a total of 29,946 candidates have been allotted seats in Round 1 for MBBS and BDS admissions under the MCC counselling process. The allotment result contains details including the candidate's NEET UG All India Rank, allotted quota, allotted institute, course, allotted category, candidate category and remarks.

The final result follows the publication and revision of the provisional Round 1 allotment results. MCC had published revised provisional results during the counselling process before releasing the final allotment.

Candidates who have received a seat in the final allotment can now proceed with the admission and reporting formalities as per the MCC instructions. The official MCC UG counselling portal specifically states that candidates may proceed to report to their allotted college after the final Round 1 result.

Round 1 Reporting and Admission

Candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seat and choose the Freeze option are required to physically report to the allotted institute for joining and document verification.

Candidates who wish to participate in subsequent counselling rounds under the Float option can indicate their willingness for upgradation as per the applicable MCC rules and complete the required online document-verification process.

As per the revised counselling schedule, candidates allotted seats in Round 1 can report to their allotted colleges from August 24 to August 31, 2026. Institutes will subsequently verify the data of joined candidates on September 1, 2026.

Freeze and Float Options

MCC has introduced Freeze and Float options for candidates after seat allotment.

Freeze: Candidates who are satisfied with the allotted seat and do not wish to participate in further upgradation rounds can choose Freeze. Such candidates need to physically report to the allotted institute for joining.

Float: Candidates who accept the allotted seat but want to participate in the next counselling round for possible upgradation can choose Float, subject to the applicable MCC rules. Such candidates need to complete the required online formalities and document verification.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat should carefully read the MCC reporting instructions and complete the admission formalities within the prescribed timeline.

Candidates should keep their NEET UG documents, allotment letter, academic certificates, identity proof and applicable category/PwD certificates ready for verification at the allotted institute.
