The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 seat matrix on its official portal. The matrix provides details of seats available for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing programmes under the MCC counselling process.
According to the released seat matrix, 31,728 seats are available across participating institutions for Round 1. The matrix contains college-wise and course-wise details, along with information on quota and category-wise seat availability.

The released seat matrix will help candidates determine the availability of seats at participating colleges before submitting their preferences. Candidates can check the college, course, quota and category-wise seat details and use this information while preparing their choice list.
Candidates should carefully review the matrix before locking their choices, as seat availability can directly affect the chances of allotment.
MCC has also activated the Round 1 choice-filling process. Candidates who have completed their registration can log in to the MCC counselling portal and submit their preferred colleges and courses.
The choice-filling window is scheduled to remain open until August 13, 2026, up to 11:00 AM, while choice locking will be available from August 12 at 4:00 PM to August 13 at 11:00 AM. The Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled for August 17, 2026.
